Posts: 78 (06/13/08 10:08 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Hey camerapeople, I would've liked to see more of the dancers and less of Nigel being tied and gagged in the opening number, thank you very much, although I would love it if Nigel was like that for the rest of the season. PCD, WTF was that?! I actually think Nicole has talent, but that song and performance was just outright terrible. None of the girl's solos were any good, but I thought Jessica's was the worst hands down, and she would've been the one I would've cut. Having said that, although I would've liked to see more from her, I have no problems with them cutting Rayven, or however you spell her name. Maybe if she would've did an on pointe solo, it would've saved her for another week. After Rayven was cut, I had a feeling Jamie was gone for the guys, if only because they didn't want to break up the partners in the first week. I did think he put more effort in his solo than the others and the concept was OK; he just didn't execute very well. The only thing bad about his elimination was that he was the only male ballroom dancer this season, plus he'll likely be known for the guy who had his pants dropped on TV.

It just didn't look right, and if what Nigel said that that was the way hip-hop was going, it may not be a good thing. The bottom three were right, for the most part, but Rayven should have stayed, especially over Kourtni, who's solo I thought was a hot mess. As to how Gev and Courtney didn't end up in the bottom three, I'm not sure how that didn't happen. They were completely deserving, I thought. Jamie's ouster, even if he was the only male ballroom dancer, not so bad (no more Schwimmer connections!). Rayven's ouster, hmm, she definitely had more personality than a lot of the guys on the show, and she showed a lot more potential in terms of technicality too, so that I disagree with. Oh well. Matt, I don't think is as bad as everyone is making him out to be. Sure he's got the personality of a prude, it looks like, but I like him enough that I'm willing to keep him around. Plus Kourtni will end up carrying him, if she can win over the audience, which is highly possible.

It was like an afterschool special version of Hip-Hop, mainly cause of the ridiculous faces they were making. It sucked really hard. Courtney/Gev being safe didn't surprise me. First off, shes gorgeous, and was highlighted a lot during the auditions and stuff. And they were last. If they went as early as Matt/Kourtni, it might have made a difference, but they were last. That also shows what little fanbase Will/Jessica will have since they were second to last, got positive reviews, and were STILL in the bottom. They prob will be again next week.

It didn't look natural, like he was trying to prove that he liked girls and was macho or something. It always made me cringe, it was so embarrassing. I actually like Thayne, I can see a personality in him. The over the top grin was annoying, but other than that, he seems fun.

It looked like she was bumbling around aimlessly like a nervous Svetlana Khorkina lesbo bitch to random elevator music. She didn't even do her trademark angsty reverse dyke drop which is what got her to the Top 20 in the first place. Disappointing.

Of the 20 semifinalists, I only remember FOUR of them: K-herington Payne (who I will refer to as "Dora" from hereon in, as in the painter Dora Carrington, whose life was made into a film starring Emma Thompson), Twitch, Gev Manoukian, and Susie Garcia the High School Teacher. I must admit that I didn't see the callback episode, though. The past three seasons, the majority of contestants that made the elite (re: voting rounds) rounds, had their initial auditions shown in the regional audition episodes. This season - not so much. They probably felt that since Sabra Johnson, Danny Tidwell, and Neil Haskell made it to the Grand Finale (with Sabra winning) without having as much screen time as Lacey Schwimmer (who was the most overexposed contestant in SYTYCD history), they decided to add more "unknown quantities" this time around in the hope that lightning will strike twice. Am I alone in thinking that?

The sound was off, you could hear the crowd louder than Cat at times. The 'mis-shots', like showing Rayven getting set on stage for her solo. There were dozens of mistakes and it was extremely distracting. And I agree with the comment about the opening number, who the hell wants to see Nigel's face, I wanted to enjoy Wade's routine and the dancers. If they don't fire the on set director and get a new person for the rest of this season, I think they are going to lose viewers. I actually think next show they should show the director being eliminated from the show. I would have loved to see Matt go and leave Jamie. Rayven was alright, but agree that I did not like her solo, and when I rewatched their hip-hop, my favorite part was looking at Jamies muscled legs, the rest was pretty cheeseball. Watching the numbers again, my favorites are still Thayne and Chelsea T, what a great surprise. And singularly, love Twitch and his fun/sweet personality.

It's all over the place and it's really hard sometimes to get the full effect of the dance because of that. Last night was a prime example. We get it, Nigel is in the chair, flash to one set of dancers, flash to another set. Repeat. I know dances will lose something in translation from stage to tv, but it's really hard to get the full impact/effect of a group number when you flash all over the place.

It's SOO obvious he's trying to be "cool" and have a personality. Not working. He's lucky he has Comfort. -The other black girl...very pretty! -Soccer girl..forget her name...pissed to see her with Twitch cause he's popular. Don't like her at all. Results: -happy to see most of those people in the bottom. -the tall ass girl sucked in her solo, and once Matt is eliminated how the hell can that giant big bird partner with anyone? -Happy Matt stayed and the blonde guy went home, I didn't even remember him -wish Rayven stayed over the boring girl that was half of the "couple to beat" judges: -have always hated Dan Keraty, but enjoyed him the past two nights compared to the annoyances he's next to. after having to sit through the other two trying to come up with ways to sound "cool and hip", it was nice for him to just get to the point. -fucking HATE nigel this year! your like fucking 60 something and try to act soo edgy with your insults. hes so annoying -Mary- she's a cunt? everyone knows that here so I wont continue on about how annoying she is.
