Not saying this as an "Alias" fan--LOST is all the TV I watch--but someday, when LOST gets to its final season, and ABC treats it like that, I'd want someone to remind ME of what night the last eppy was on! Hope you enjoy it!

Just remember, Utopian, that the "Alias" finale is airing this coming MONDAY night! After all you've invested in that show, you don't wanna miss the ending, I'm sure. And the way ABC's bounced that show around this season, it'd be all too easy for you to do so.

Quote: My thoughts exactly. Did they let the writers from Invasion pen tonight's episode? Nothing happened! And when there was a chance for something to happen....the show developed ED problems. Eko is a priest, yet he passes on delivering eulogies at a pair of funerals? That whole 13 days ago, today, 3 days ago, bullcrap was needless. Perhaps the writers just finished watching Godfather 2 and tried a similar writing style. I just hope that everyone on the beach looked out and really saw a boat and not Fonzie and a shark tank. |

I agree with everything that Anti says. The characters used to feel so attached, so much so that the show itself recognized it with Artz and his line about how everybody else knows that there is the center group of people keeping secrets. Now the core group waltzes in and out and in again without the feeling that there are any bonds between them. I want emotional connections! I dont need them to realize the Easter egg things that are meant for us to see as we watch, but they need to share what has happened to them on the island. I have just a couple other things:
1. Unsatisfying deaths, which I think would be both Shannon and Libby. The writers have used the excuse is both cases that they ran out of story from then, and I say bullcrap. There were so many places to go with both, but with Shannon for sure. She was the only one who was 100% out of her element and was accepting it, dare I say the perfect example of a modern 20 something in the situation. I personally could identify, and then she was dead. 2. If Michael doesn't die or almost die. I want retribution from Hurly, Sawyer, Bernard, anybody for what he did. Jake, Kate and company need to wise up; tonights episode was a train wreak intelligence wise with everybody getting bullied. Nobody is dumb enough to put their lives on the line and not bring more just because Michael yells for it. 3. If we never see Cindy again just kidding. But I do hope she pops back up again. Like others though, I will never stop watching, but it might shift from must see TV to tape and watch when I can, or miss a few here and there. |

I just want to give the "I liked this eppy" folks some space on this thread.
That's still OK, yeah? |

I'll admit, the non-Michael flashback parts were slow and not something needed at the end of the season...however Jack telling Sayid he was on a way to a funeral when he was on the plane...that's a start for some connection...right?

By the way...it seems like J.J. loves this interconnecting stuff so much if he is making a whole series on it...Six Degrees...

I too liked this eppie. It wasn't full of shocks and jaw dropping moments, but it was still interesting.
I enjoyed seeing the Others. that woman who told Michael to bring back the four specific people and release Henry... she CREEPED ME OUT. yikes! I loved seeing Walt, and pretending he hasn't grown incredibly. I have one question though. WHERE THE HELL IS JOHN GOING? Obviously, Henry lied. John was NOT on that list. The Others don't want him. Or so it seems. |

The Others don't want Locke for the same reasons they want Jack, Kate, James, and Hurley, tigeranne!
I think They've found Locke quite useful since the plane crashed, don't you? Ms. Clue is the new Ana Lucia to me! HATE, HATE, HATE her! |

STH, I wanted to bash her face in the whole time they were
showing her. She is very sinister. I think the Others want those particular four to be gone from their beach, and not necessarily that they WANT those four. If you know what I mean. I'm kinda scared about next week's ep. |

GIAA, are you going back page surfing, lol? I actually kind of like it, since I was in the hospital/nursing home at the time, and haven't seen most of
these threads before.

I personally could identify, and then she was dead. This is still my least favorite death on this show. It was completely pointless, and then after an episode or two, no one gave a shit and it's like she was never even there. |

cindidindi76 wrote: I disagree. Obviously this is a bit off-topic, but I sort of thought that Shannon was out of story. I didn't find her interesting at all from a story
aspect (obviously, I'd bang her until I die from dehydration), so at least her death served the story. It allowed Sayid to get all pissed off, torture
Henry Gale for information, and then be so convinced that he was an Other that he would go physically check out the wreck site and discover that he was not, in
fact, Henry Gale, which obviously really propelled the story forward.

Really, having been through Libby's death, the time-stalling Season 3 start withe captured Kate, Jack & Sawyer (while negotiations between ABC &
Darlton Lindeluse went on to end the show), the four-toed statue, the still unanswered questions from season 1, the able to be seen dead people (Charlie,
Christian Shepherd), the no spotlight for Vincent >
nothing could make me quit. |
