But he did choose to jump. One would think Hurley shoulda jumped. lol I'm also confused by Jack being so snarky when he told Kate Aaron wasn't even related to her. We now know HE knew Aaron was HIS relative, but still wonder why he sounded so cold. Maybe he was getting a little resentful of Kate pretending to be Aaron's mom knowing his sister (who he thinks is dead and feels guilt) is Aaron's mom. And then there's that message from Hurley that Charlie said Aaron isn't supposed to be raised by another. Maybe Kate lying about the phone calls (and his trust issues with women) sent his drunk ass over the edge and that's why he made such snarky remarks.

Poor Jack...Kate seems to make him feel unappreciated/left-out quite a bit. He did all he could to get everyone (read: Kate) off the island, but I think he feels like Sawyer jumping out of the helicopter trumped everything he did (causing the jealousy there) And I agree on the resentment toward Kate...He probably thinks being related to Aaron should make Kate feel closer to him, but she doesn't agree (which made him say the "you're not even related to him" low-blow). I used to hate the Jack/Sawyer/Kate/Jater/Skater/Hater story because I thought it was just thrown in to get a few more viewers who wanted a sappy love story, but I really like how they're using it to develop the characters' personalities.

I think it was booze, guilt, just whacking out in general that made him say such an assy thing. He DID look sad when Sawyer actually jumped though, sad for Sawyer and sad for Kate.

I look at Juliet more.. that pretty blonde hair.. she's a babydoll. OH crap, wonder if we see her next season? TMG - I'm not particularly happy that Locke is "right", but I am enjoying how this is all playing out. I can't stand seeing Jack all fucked up and suicidal, but I like seeing MF playing his vulnerable side. Makes me wanna drag his fine ass into the shower, shave that beard off and make him feel all better. wink

Jack and Desmond, scruffy beards, dripping wet, open mouth fluid exchange, but clothes still on. Even us straight guys with a hero complex can appreciate a little tongue action if it saves a life. Hey Felicia, miss ya, sorry I've been so absent of late. I don't always watch the show right away, so I have to avoid the boards from Wednesday through Friday, and by the time I watch and check in here (usually on Monday) almost everything has been said. My two cents on Jack thinking Sun blames him for Jin's "death". I think the responsible second person was either Widmore or Ben (could go either way), and that deep down she knows Jack was only trying to protect everyone else by not going back to the freighter. If anyone is to blame for Jin not being on deck, it was Jin (although Sun doesn't really know that). He should have left that room when Desmond did, especially knowing his pregnant wife was up on deck. Also, he should have found every available flotation device or life jacket, and jumped ship with Sun as soon as he saw all those explosives and found out it was wired remotely. Of course, that wasn't in the script, and if he had acted rationally there would be no opportunity to reunite he and Sun when she returns to the island. Another scene I'm looking forward to is when Sun and Jack see each other next, and she can put his mind at ease that she doesn't really blame him.

But of course we needed Jack to feel guilty for something. And a reason for Sun to be badass. And a reason for her to go back.
