I don't know if I want to see them in a relationship, but I like their friendship so much. She cracks me up with some of her obsessive behaviours, including the touch of kleptomania she seems to have. He's more tolerable with Lexie than he ever was with Izzy or that god-awful crush he had on Meredith. Other than that, I only have two wishes for Season 5. 1. Get Izzy and Alex back together immediately and keep them together. I don't want them to be the new Mer/Der. 2. Do something with Sloan. I don't care, I just don't want to see him become a useless character.

I don't hate Ava either - not sure I like her, but I don't hate her. I didn't think the Kerev 180 was very believable (from "I don't give a flying F** about Ava" to "I'm going to change her diapers now*") nor was his pity party to blondie. But, overall, I like Karev.

Meredith is still way more awesome than people give her credit for. Alex pwns, and it was good to see him cry like a bitch for one. I just hoped that Ava slit Izzie's wrists and made it a murder-suicide. George and Lexie need to fuck, and Lexie needs to get naked in a movie and/or sex tape so I can watch it. I think that's about it. Oh, and it figures they'd make the two ugliest bitches on the show lesbians. Someone hand me a barf bag, please.

I am truly grateful for the honor that the Academy bestowed upon me last year. I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the Academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials. LINK

In any event, Ellen criticized the direction of the show, but didn't come off as holier-than-thou. Katherine sounds upset that the writers didn't give her Emmy-worthy material (which isn't the writers' jobs). If I remember correctly, she also criticized KNOCKED UP, the movie that jumpstarted her film career. She needs to take the same advice that she gave Isaiah Washington: shut the fuck up.
