I am a Hillary supporter, but if Obama wins that would be all right for me and that was a lovely montage.

xtinad...I would've been fine with either Hilary or Barack as the democratic nominee! I just want the republicans out of the white house!
I know Clay has always been open about being a democrat...it's not really surprising given his human rights activities for Unicef. |

I don't think Clay will be making a statement about his preference. But it is a really nice montage. I wonder if we will see a lot of montages for all
the candidates set to popular music. Seems like a youtube kind of thing.

Vafan I'd say yes indeed.. this campaign seems to be running more on the internet than mainstream media...people are researching the candidates for
themselves not just relying on the network mouthpieces who can, at times, have their own agendas to push. There are several for Barack in fact... there is
one in particular that is amazing set to his Yes we Can speech.... it's got Will.I.Am and a bunch of other celebrities in it... it's very powerful...

I thought this was interesting....
177 AND COUNTING: It might not be long before the Davids -- Archuleta and Cook -- have their own No. 1s on the Billboard charts, adding to the grand total of "American Idol" No. 1s racked up since 2002. But even without their contributions, the total increases by one this week, as Clay Aiken's "On My Way Here" (19/RCA) debuts at No. 1 on Top Internet Albums. That is the 177th No. 1 for the "Idol" franchise, counting all national, domestic charts compiled by the Billboard Information Group. |

If he's talking about that country music award show, he's right. They sounded horrible. Maybe the sound system was off or something, but only Garth
and Kenny Chesney sounded good, the rest were crap. Utter crap. And yes, Carrie didn't sound good either, but I hate that song live.

Clay is to become a father - proving once again that he is every inch a man! Clay, the he-man that he is - is not shooting blanks! I hope the child is male -
and that it will carry his amazing talent onward for another generation to enjoy! That is one lucky baby - can you imagine the sweet lullabys it will get to
hear? I know we will get to hear fantastic father/son duets in about 10 years!

If it's true, how could I be anything but happy for him? He's absolutely crazy about children and has always said he wants to be a father. I must
say, though, this is really surprising!

WASHINGTON -- Broadway came to the nation's capital Sunday night during a gala for the Ford's Theatre attended by President Bush and first lady Laura Bush.
Actor Hal Holbrook, country music singer Trisha Yearwood, former American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken and other stars performed songs and spoken word pieces from the musical "The Civil War" at the National Theatre, which hosted the event because the beneficiary theater is under renovation.
"Laura and I have been coming here now for eight years to the Ford Theatre gala and this is by far the best," Bush said after the performances. "It's such an uplifting performance and a reminder of what a great president Abraham Lincoln was.
The musical, which premiered in Houston in 1998 before opening on Broadway, follows the course of the war from multiple perspectives.
The spoken word selections invoked Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth and Lincoln among others. Holbrook read several selections.
Yearwood performed two numbers: "If I Should Lose My Way" and "The Honor of Your Name." Aiken sang "Sarah."
Other performers included actor Avery Brooks, musician Larry Gatlin and author Maya Angelou.
Angelou was one of the evenings two recipients of Lincoln Medals.
Actress Ruby Dee also was honored with a medal. Her daughter accepted it on her behalf.
"The Lincoln Medal brings Abraham Lincoln's legacy to life by recognizing his wisdom and vision in the work of today's leaders," the first lady said when introducing the recipients. "It honors those who through their accomplishments or personal attributes illuminate the character of our most beloved president."
