Fix was in.

I'm in Long Island. I can't count all the times I called in for Cook, got a few rings and then a dial tone. No recording of "Thanks for voting....
had to be at least 50 times, no joke.

They were blocking Cook's votes, folks.

What I want to know is, who the fuck would actually buy an album by that gasping little fucker who only sings sappy ballads???????

I only got in a handfull of votes myself for Cook. It was really annoying because I kept getting "due to network difficulties your call can not be completed" on all three lines!

I still think Cook will win though cuz I've had that happen throughout the season and was sure he'd be in the bottom 3 and it never happened.

I don't put much stock in dialidol but that have accurately predicted the winner season season 4 (well Carrie and Bo were deadlocked but they had her in first) so perhaps their track record will hold up.

This is the first season since season 1 I've actually given a fuck who wins...

It will all be worth it to see that look of dejected FAILURE on Porkchop's face. I hope the camera pans into a closeup to his dad's face the moment Cook's name is announced. I want them to have an endoscopy camera placed into Archuleta's body cavity so we can all see the very moment that his heart breaks. I can't wait!

I feel the same way Trixie. I wanna be all excited about DI, but I also don't wanna have to throw
my remote at the TV when the Devil's Porkchop wins.

You know though that if Cook has won, there is some AI producer somewhere crapping his pants in delight
over the publicity an 'upset' victory will bring.

and some security guard loading his gun in preparation for fending off Papa Porkchop's rushing of the stage...

I tried for twenty minutes to get through (West Coast time) on all three of DC's lines and they were busy. Couldn't get through once.

American Idol Season 7 Finals...

Unless something fundamentally shifts in tonight's final performance show, David Cook will be the next American Idol.

David Archuleta was by far the leader of the pack from the beginning of the season with his rendition of Imagine. His lead slowly slipped from week to week until David Cook overcame him in votes the week of his rendition of Billie Jean. David Cook has held the lead until May 6 when David Archuleta regained top votes for the week due to 1) strong performances, 2) relatively weak David Cook performances, and 3) by picking up much of the Brooke White support after she was voted off the previous week.

If the vote for American Idol were held today, David Cook would narrowly win over David Archuleta. However, if David Archuleta becomes the biggest beneficiary of Syesha's former supporters along with strong performances in the finale, he has a reasonable chance of overtaking David Cook and becoming the next American Idol. Because it is so close between the two David's, former Syesha voters will declare the next American Idol.

Since Syesha was voted off, David Cook has picked up most of her supporters. So unless David Cook messes up tonight, or unless David Archuleta hits it out of the park, David Cook will be the next American Idol. Find out first here at 8am PT May 21, 12 hours before the final result show airs.

According to Zaba - Syesha supports will decide the winner.

Kind of hate to admit this, but if Porkchop should win, which I have no doubt that he will, I will always believe in my heart that it was fixed and that Cookie really won the voting. Sore loser? Perhaps, but I can always use DI to somewhat support my therory :-)
