When did he do R&B? He was forced into pop by RCA (as were others from AI) a genre that clearly didn't fit him. He then did a jazz CD and still does
guest vocals for other jazz musicians. As far as I know his heart has always been funk/soul and I can't wait to hear his new stuff.

Agree. Keeps me interested, and I like to be surprised.
Which is what his new music certainly did. It's not like anything he's done before. When I think back to how the then unknown S1 AI only attracted a mere 10, 000 auditioners, yet it produced the kind of musically adventurous and creative final two it did... pretty remarkable. Justin's music may never get to be heard as much as it should be, but I'm very glad he didn't give up.after being fucked over by the AI Machine. Good good stuff by a genuine musician. Ok, fangrl trip over. Here's the full pic that was used for the EP cover (see my new avatar). I like it because it fits the artsy nature of the songs.

I'd venture to say that artistically speaking, Season 1 had the most versatile and top 2 of any season.
I like the picture although I'd perfer to see that beautiful face if I had my choice... |

that's a great song!
I laughed at the beginning of Idol Tonight cuz Kim Caldwell was trying to get Cookie to say something about Idol tonight and she said something about The American Idol David Cook right here from.... and David said Justin 2 Kelly Justin walked out and the look on his face was priceless.... too funny! I
don't know how to cap it or I would... it was a classic Justin moment for sure...
I didn't necessarily enjoy all the fawning Justin did over pork chop..saying he'd throw himself in front of a car for him and shit... please Justin don't... we need hot men like you in the world... Is he releasing an album to the mainstream stores this time around? or can you only buy it off his website? |
