I didn't like Dracula in S5.
I forget the episode name in Season 4, but the episode where Buffy and Riley were under some spell in the frat house that caused them to have marathon sex. All kinds of lame. |

I was going through a DVD marathon of Buffy. I finished season 3 last week. I haven't brought myself to start season 4 yet.

There was a lot of good episodes in Season four actually but it also had some of the worst episodes. I just think the transition from high school to college
was difficult for a show like Buffy, but they managed to work it well. That was the first season without Angel and Cordelia and later on Oz left. We did get
Anya!

Yeah, I think Season 4 was like manic depressive Buffy.... some of the best and some of the worst. The first episode of that season kind of sucked for me.

Well, I think if you look at Season 4...It's the first time Buffy ever had to face a man-made evil...Which, if you look at the show as a whole, it is an
interesting aspect that hadn't been investigated in the three prior seasons.
Oh, another pretty shitty episode was when Riley and his wife showed up in Sunnydale...Pretty dumb. |

I guess I mean man-made Big Bad...Balanced out all the supernatural stuff.
I think some of the worst episodes were where they were knee deep in a Big-Bad arch...and they just forgot about it for an episode and gave us "Demon of the Week." |

Not when said government force has many such locations and they specifically are recriuiting college students.
You have a problem with that but not a Hellmouth underneath the high school library? GMAB. We're talking about a show where girl who kills vampires and demons. |

I don't think the people building the library knew
they were doing construction on a pathway to Heck. They probably would have asked for more money. My problems was the 180 degree turn from fantasy/horror to sci-fi. Ray guns, implanted rage reducing micro chips, cyborgs, oh my... Plus Buffy's mom and Giles took a back seat. Still better than Season 6. But then, what isn't? |

It wasn't like we hadn't had a taste of the sci-fi throughout the earlier seasons. One distinct episode that I remember that was more sci-fi was the
episode "Ted", where Buffy had to save her mom from a serial killer robot. Granted, season four was a huge change, it was a lot more sci-fi, but it
wasn't a horrible change. I don't think it was really unbelievable that there was a secret military base under the dorm. It's sunnydale, home of
the hellmouth! The one thing I loved about Sunnydale, is that it always seemed to be growing. In earlier seasons they made it out to be a really small town,
then by season four it had a college, then an airport popped up in season six.

OK, so I'm watching So You Think You Can Dance and this commercial for Better Homes & Gardens or some garden thing comes on. Kathy, the Celine Dion
loving, Egg signing, demon roomie from Buffy's freshman year is playing the mom. Very strange.
