I am going to be all over UFC 84 and have no problem paying. BUT no way in heck am I wasting a dime on UFC 85. It kind of pisses me off that fights fall
through, but they will not throw us a bone. With all the money they are making they are starting to irritate fans by jacking up pay per view prices and every
other fight card is crap

Ha ha! That double knockout was hilarious! I've never seen that happen before in MMA or boxing.
I'm looking forward to UFC 84. The top 3 fights look intriguing. My picks: Penn vs. Sherk: BJ will finish him in 3 rounds or less. I don't think Sherk off of roids will be strong enough to ground and pound BJ. Jardine vs. Silva: I think this will be a good stand-up war. Silva's chin is better and one of his wild hooks will catch Jardine and KO him. Ortiz vs. Machida: I can't stand him but I'll pick Tito. Tito's not the same guy he used to be, but his wrestling and size may be enough to keep Machida pinned to the ground or against the fence standing where Machida can't use his karate. I think Tito's grappling is underrated and he won't get submitted. |

Coleman injured and off the UFC87 card against Lesnar. However with the announcement of GSP/Fitch headlining along with Florian/Huerta, and even Maia/McDonald,
it's still a very awesome card.

LOL at Tito. He lost big time to Machida. He came close with the submission attempt at the end but he basically got owned the whole fight. Nice to see BJ beat
the steroid freak. Hopefully they make the fight between BJ and GSP.

I love BJ. There's something about him that I find really.... sexy.
Weird becasue he's short, small and not my type at all. Btw, did BJ really lick the other guy's blood or just smear it on his face? Maybe just my imagination?

Tito was just a complete disappointment.
And he was a jerk, a total dumb ass at the press conference. His girlfriend's balls are million times bigger than his. |

That was gross. I rewatched the fight. After it ended, he licked Sherk's blood off both of his gloves. Then he ran over to Sherk who was still dazed on the ground and swiped some blood off his face and wiped it on his own face. Must be some crazy Hawaiian ritual, or he's part vampire! Jenna's got Tito on a tight leash. I read he crashed the post-fight press conference and got them to accomodate him for 10 minutes so the press could ask him questions. Then when he was going to leave she ordered him to stay, so he did! He needs to change his nickname to the Huntington Beach Boy Toy! |

Amir is quickly becoming one of my favorite fighters to appear on this show. His deadpan description of Jesse pissing in his pants had me

I would have thought Matt Brown would have gotten the better of the stand-up trade offs, but minus the kicks of course. But even then, in the second round,
dude looked pretty tired and was gettin pummeled.
Also, yeah, next time we get more of Jeremy. Haven't seen nor heard (nor caught a glimpse of) since he got knocked out. |

I thought Matt Brown would beat Amir, but Amir got him with the triangle. Good for him. They're definitely playing up Jesse Taylor as the typical
meathead jock. Interesting to see if Jeremy May will instigate something with him. I'm predicting Tim Credeur to beat Cramer and CB Dollaway to beat Cale
Yarborough. Afer that, I'd say Credeur and Dollaway are the faves to move to finale. Amir looks like the dark horse to get to the final 2. Bottom line is I
don't see Anderson Silva worrying too much about the TUF winner from this season.

Amir has yet to win a first round, but his conditioning is impressive, I'm hoping that Jesse gets kicked off. Jesse is not a good enough fighter to be in
the semi's I hope that Jeremy does cause Jesse to get kicked off and they replace him with Riddle. I think Riddle was beating Tim in the first match. Then
we can get Riddle vs Amir and Credeur vs Dollaway in the semi's.

Ok Guys
had to come on to talk about the Elite XC /CBS show tonight. First of all, My damn Tivo stopped it right on time and turns out event went 40 minutes over. Should have know better. I did go to youtube to watch the Kimbo fight. I am glad it was FREE and because of that I am just OK with this show. Hated the girl dancer fluff stuff. First fight (Murphy/ Rogers) sucked and shows the level of comp is not good. I enjoyed seeing the biggest idiot ever, Barone get his ass kicked. He is such a tool. I thought Carano had a great fight for being a bit out of shape and overweight. Young was tough. Enjoyed that. Lawler Smith was a joke. Anderson Silva would take about 2 minutes to end these guys. BUT I was enjoying the fight when the bullshit stoppage took place. The fans booing (meaning booing the lack of action early on , NOT the stoppage ) just shows that many do not know what MMA is all about. It was embarassing. At least at UFC, booing is pretty right on. These fans were a group of idiots that made me laugh. Smith was totally fine, and you could see Shaw shit his pants. BUT Kimbo made this a flop. This guy is a joke. You know, everyone talks about his great internet street fights, and yes they are fun to watch. His last internet fight he gassed out and fell to the ground in shame. He fought some big white cop and showed this guy is a one minute wonder. Hey Kimbo gave a great effort and I give credit to Thompson. What really pisses me off started in the second round. The first time that ref got them off the ground. Thompson was working him on the ground, and he still stood them up. That was just wrong and I know that he did it to benefit Kimbo. Then when Thompson was throwing elbows and punches to the defenseless Kimbo, the ref THREATENED to stand them up saying "I dont see any action, gott work". Said it two times even though Thompson was working Kimbo over. Then the stoppage at the end was just the icing on the joke of a cake. I think the ref blew it because we can guess Thompson would have gone down, but if he wanted to salvage the night, let Kimbo REALLY finish him vs. the ref saving him I am just disgusted with the ref and the direction that we all KNOW Shaw gave him. SAVE KIMBO at all costs Kimbo is a joke and I have no doubt that even Tim Sylvia would crush this guy within a couple of minutes. Later dudes |

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head with how exactly I was thinking after watching that farce last night. The fans booing Smith/Lawler was a
fucking travesty, and the ending to that was even worse. However they got it right at the end of the night, booing Kimbo.
Thank God for Pulver/Faber tonight to wash the bad taste out of my mouth from that crap last night. |

Pulver can take a punch or 12. Faber rocked him several times and I thought he was done but he kept coming forward. The Torres v. Maeda fight was excellent
too.

I thought the Kimbo Slice fight was ridiculous (but yecch at that ear). I can understand CBS erring on the side of caution all night though. This is the
first time MMA has been on regular network TV, and good on them for the "tutorial" at the beginning.

I watched UFC 85. Not a bad card, but not a great one since it had no main event. Congrats to "Handsome" Matt Wiman from TUF 5 for having the fight
of the night and knocking out top contender Thiago Tavares. He looked much improved from his time on TUF 5 on BJ Penn's team. Looks like he's been
training with Chuck Liddell since Chuck was in his corner.
Kind of sad to see Matt Hughes get owned by Thiago Alves. Alves missed weight by 3 lbs, but Hughes took the fight regardless. Alves looked riddiculously huge against Hughes. Douchebag needs to prove he can make 170 before he can be entitled to a title shot against GSP. In the post fight Hughes said he had 1 fight left and that was against Serra. He wanted Serra to get ready for him. I really want to see that one as I felt that was the one missing element from TUF 6: Hughes and Serra never fought. |

I'm not a big Matt Hughes fan, but tonight was just a fucking travesty. It's just sad to see someone completely disregard one of the main objectives as
a fighter, and not make weight, and then win. Only saving grace is that if you saw Dana's reaction after Thiago's beg in the post-fight interview, he
was thinking 'kid you fucking blew it, regardless'.
