^-- I just hope the people over at CBS/SEG realize that. Since production on Gabon isn't underway yet, I'd hate to see the "Survivor" people
think that the new competition means they have to whip out another lame, needless, "shocking" twist that they think will boost ratings, like dividing
the tribes by race or having a rich camp/poor camp, etc...

And it should also be pointed out that the Wednesday edition of "Survivor" the article mentions was beat by "Moment of Truth" apparently
wasn't advertised very much. I don't watch CBS other than for "Survivor" and "Big Brother" so I don't really know how much
advertising each episode gets on a regular basis, but I remember several people posting in the ratings thread (over in the Spec forum) that they weren't
even aware there was an episode airing that week at all.

This will end the discussion:
Friends was on NBC on Thursdays at 8 for YEARS before Survivor moved to Thursdays at 8pm. When Survivor moved to Thursdays everyone was like "Well, so much for Survivor...." and yet it stayed strong. Like I said earlier - the people who watch Survivor are not just casual viewers. They are devoted. Different levels of devotion apply (from "fans" like Erik, to insane fans like Naj) - but they are all devoted. If Friends didn't kill Survivor, I hardly doubt "Moment of Truth" will.

FOX sucks. So this is their big evil plan to take over network TV and force us all to watch their retarded, over-the-top, contrived gameshows? Seriously, how
the hell does MoT get any ratings at all? It's pretty much all filler. And once you've seen one season of HK, you've seen them all. Both of those
shows are wearing thin, and I doubt they'll steal Survivor's ratings.

I thought that "Survivor" was going to end around the 20th edition, so either way, FOX won't be "accelerating" the show's demise.
The show will end on its own terms, and it won't be because of the crappy FOX show "Moment of Truth". I will watch "Survivor" over MoT
and "Hell's Kitchen" anyday.
