Hm, I've gotta say one thing. Those that believe the Gabon preview video is real should go on youtube and search "MaxPointy".

Yeah, I mean, sure it's really well made and probably took a lot of time/effort, but it's not done by anyone who has anything to do with cbs.

All I've got to say is guilty as charged. I and MaxPointy are one in the same. Kinda of flattering though that some people find it authentic-looking enough to be fooled. I started a Youtube account long before my Sucks account. |

Animal planet featured surfing hippos about three hours ago. I'm sure they'll have it on repeat at around 11 or 12 or 1 or 2 AM, EST. <3 <3

Was anyone else actually happy that they have 18 contestants? I was expecting 20, and I was so excited to see that there's only 18.

As a viewer, I love the location. But if I was applying to be on the show I'd hold out for a return to Panama or one of the cushier locations. |

Yeah, personally the thing I would hate the most is mosquitoes or other bugs that annoy the shit out of people. How the hell are they supposed to sleep. Looks
like we might get a couple scenes dedicated to the terrible bugs (a la the Marquesan no-nos).

Hey, if that means we get a few bits like "Wake up Maraamu" then I'm all for it.

^^^ I forgot about "wake up Maaramu." That was a great scene.

Oh yeah, that's the one I was thinking of. I always get those two mixed up.
If I was applying to be on the show, I'd hope for a return to Cook Islands. China would have been cool too. Guatemala would have been the worst, I think. I heard horror stories about the heat and humidity during that season. Stephenie almost died, apparently, after one of the gruelling challenges. |

Didn't like half of the cast in Africa need to have IVs because they were so dehydrated by the end? Or was that just a myth?

I was researching Gabon...And under the Jeff Probst Article from EW. I found that someone had posted this about Gabon...

As returned peace corps volunteers we look forward to seeing Gabon receive some attention. It is a beautiful country with great people. Our lives are forever changed from the time we spent there. There are some things to watch out for: bot and filaria flies(both involve worms in your body, not good), army ants(legions of these guys clear whole villages for a day or two, they clean things up nicely though), mosquitos(the mosquito net is king, if not provided these survivors are toast), those surfing hippos(don't go too close, I was chased by one and it's no family day at the zoo), sharks(the coastal waters look nice but there are a LOT out there) and bush taxis(just don't do it). There are some BIG insects to see. I had to resort to Regab(beer) to fall asleep with the bugs that were clinging to the bottom of my mattress. Great things to look for are: cool birds(hornbills, blue plantain eater and african grey parrots), great food, all sorts of unusual tropical stuff. HAVE FUN survivors
