Episode 1: "Where Can I Get An Ice Cream Sandwich Out Here?!"

As 18 average Americans climb into a large boat headed down the murky waters of the Ogooué River, they realize they are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. They will be dropped off in the middle of the African wilderness in the small country of Gabon, located in Equatorial Africa. Unlike the first season filmed in Africa, this season takes place in the lush rainforest that occupies nearly 85 percent of the country. In the rainforest is a large variety different plants and animals, including elephants, gorillas, and leopards.

These 18 people are about to compete in the ultimate social experiment: they will be isolated from the rest of the world and be forced to live together and create a new society. In the end, however, only one will emerge as the sole survivor and take home one million dollars.

The contestants will be initially separated into two tribes: Invindo and Echira, both named after rivers in the area. On the Invindo Tribe is Jerry Monahan, a 38-year old disc jockey from Watkinsville, Georgia. "I'm an entertainer", Jerry exclaims. "I'm also a total goof. Nobody is going to even guess that I'm actually serious about winning this thing. I'm going to laugh my way to a million bucks." Joining Jerry is Eve Gorvetzian, a 26-year old nanny from Dallas, Texas. "People may thing that I'm a normal, mild-mannered, Texas girl, but I'm a fierce competitor." Shelby Hunter is a 24-year old graduate student from Oregon City, Oregon. "Basically all my life I've lived quite a privileged life. I got a BMW for my 16^th birthday, I easily got into the college I wanted to; I've never actually had to fight for anything. This would be the first time I have to get down and dirty to get a million dollars in my pocket." Eric Lundengren is 27 and working his way up the entertainment industry career ladder, having lived in Los Angeles for nearly ten years. "As soon as I turned 18 I wanted to leave my cookie-cutter family in Kansas. I haven't spoken to them in five years. To get what you want, sometime you have to burn some bridges and make some sacrifices." Michael "Crazy Mike" Floyd is a 23-year old professional skateboarder from Seattle, Washington. "They call me 'Crazy Mike' for a reason: my athletic skills are insane. I'll challenge anyone to a skateboarding duel, and I know that my career in the skateboarding industry will serve me quite well in this game." Slightly more humble, 47-year old Sherry Anderson works as a nurse in Pensacola, Florida. "I'm a mother at heart. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to deal with the lying, manipulation, and backstabbing of this game. But I'm prepared to do whatever it takes." Kym Carpenter, a 32-year old swim instructor from Spring Hill, Florida, hopes that her athletic background will serve her well. "I'm probably the toughest girl in this game, but it's my mouth that'll get me in trouble." Camille Fox, a 28-year old photographer and model from Anaheim, California, also describes herself as tough, but isn't sure what to expect in her upcoming performance on Survivor. "I've lived my life not getting anything handed to me, if I can believe it, I can do it. But having barely ever set foot in the wilderness other than a normal walk through the woods, this isn't going to be easy for me." Rounding out the Invindo tribe is Leon Pinkney, a 48-year old commercial fisherman from Fairbanks, Alaska. "I'm a provider, there's no doubt about that. I will do what I got to do to give these people what they need to survive. Maybe if I can help them live, they won't vote me off."

On the Echira tribe is Brent Hortin, a 21-year old student from Salt Lake City. "I'm a Mormon, and that can set you apart from the group right off the bat. I've lived sort of a sheltered life and I hope this experience can get me out of my shell a bit." Steve Appel joins Brent on the Echira tribe, a 37-year old Marketing Executive from Mequou, Wisconsin. "I'm a born leader, and that will easily by my strategy on Survivor. That's my biggest card to play." Alvin "Doc" Schwartz may not have the experience of a Survivor; he sure has the heart for it. "I love adventures", the 56-year old family physician exclaims in a thick New York accent. "No matter what comes out of this experience, I will be satisfied. It's the adventure of a lifetime whether I go to the end or I'm the first person voted off." John Fullum is a 45-year old lumberjack from Wallingford, Pennsylvania. "From the minute I was born I worked on my father's farm day and night. I was raised to work my ass off, and it's made me a stronger person." Rosanna "Rosie" Diaz, a 42-year old single mom from Sacramento, California, is not in the game for herself, but for her family. "It's for the kids. They need it. We all need it. I've had things rough in life, hopefully this will be my big break." Heather Reese is a 27-year old media relations specialist from Springfield, Illinois. "I'm just starting to get out into the real world. I'm learning how to deal with people and go through the rat race of life. Hopefully this experience will only help me further." Patty Lee is a self-described ruthless business woman, and the 51-year old hair stylist from Riverside, California hopes to use it to her advantage. "This is a business venture, just like any other venture I've done. And when it comes to business, I'm not a very nice lady." Dennis Gallegos is a 28-year old hardware store owner from Aurora, Colorado. "Ever since my father died when I was a kid, I basically dropped everything in my life to help my family. This is the first time in a long time where I'm doing something for myself." Finally, 26-year old gymnastics teacher Rachel Yrigolla hopes to prove everyone that she isn't just the sweet little girl everyone sees on the outside. "I'm not even five feet tall, and I'm barely a hundred pounds. So obviously people underestimate me. I want people to finally see me for the true competitor that I am."

As the contestants gather at the end of the boat, Jeff welcomes them to the game. "Welcome to Survivor Gabon", Jeff says, and immediately everyone cheers in excitement. Jeff then explains to them that they are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime, but first he will divide them into tribes. He starts by handing out buffs to the new Invindo tribe: Jerry, Eve, Shelby, Eric, Mike, Sherry, Kym, Camille, and Leon. He then starts handing out green buffs the new Echira tribe: Brent, Steve, Doc, John, Rosie, Heather, Patti, Dennis, and Rachel. The tribes are told that their supplies will be waiting back for them at camp, and all they have to do is get into their respective boats and journey to their new home. He gave each tribe a map to camp and told them to jump off the boat and into the water.

As everyone started to jump off the boat, Steve gathered his tribe and lead them down onto the green Echira rowboat. Once every Echira member was on the boat, Steve got in last and took the responsibility of steering the boat. "I have a lot of experience when it comes to the outdoors. I've kayaked and canoed numerous times, and I go fishing almost every weekend. I also have tons of experience in leadership, so that definitely helped", Steve explained the camera. As the Echira tribe rowed down the river, Steve even started leading a chant. Right off the bat, people seemed to admire and respect his leadership. "Steve definitely emerged as a leader right off the bat", Dennis explained. "And we need that to keep the tribe strong. He even started organizing an Echira tribal chant, which I thought was awesome." However, some people felt that it was a little much. "I didn't care for the damn chant", John complained. "It just seemed kind of unnecessary. I just want to get to the camp and start this thing."

Meanwhile, on Invindo, things were more disorganized. Jerry started to steer the ship, but everyone soon discovered that he was steering backwards. "Supposedly I was steering wrong", Jerry said with a shrug. "I don't know. I'm not here to prove my wits anyway." Most of the tribe agreed that his intelligence was not his strongest suit. "Jerry…is not the sharpest tool in the shed", exclaimed Eric. "He didn't know what he was doing." It didn't take long for Leon to take the reins. A commercial fisherman with fiercely strong arms and a good sense of direction, Leon steered the entire tribe to camp with ease. But that didn't mean he was fishing to become the leader. "I didn't want to start off being the leader or nothin', but I saw that we were literally up shit creek without a paddle, so I felt like I had to do something and show the tribe my worth", Leon said. Most of the tribe was quite impressed at his ability. "Leon certainly seems to be the strongest guy out here. He seems to be a really strong guy, and he knows how to run a boat, unlike some people", Sherry said.

It was hours before Echira reached their camp. Steve realized that once they hit land, they had to watch a mile or so into the jungle. It was apparent that many people were not adapting well to the heat, especially Doc, who slowed the tribe down by having to rest numerous times. "It seemed that every time we turned a corner, I would look back and Doc was sitting on a log catching his breath", Steve said. Doc was not oblivious that he was slowing his tribe down. "I'm not used to the heat. I like the cold. And if I get hot-like the time I was in Maryland in the summer---I like to eat ice cream", Doc exclaimed to the camera. "I knew I was slowing the team down-but all I was thinking was, 'where can I get an ice cream sandwich around here?'"

OnInvindo, Leon was easily able to steer his tribe to camp. It was also about a mile walk into the jungle, where Leon continued to lead. However, near the back of the line, Mike was showing off his physical agility to the ladies, particularly Shelby and Camille. "Shelby is totally my type, and Camille is the hottest girl I've ever seen", Mike tells the cameras. "And I'm a total flirt. I wanted to show these ladies that I can-get the job done, so to speak." He tried to express this by attempting to climb a tree. He got about a quarter of the way up when he lost his footing and fell flat on his face. While some were quite amused, like Eric or Leon, others were concerned about Mike's well-being, especially Sherry, who immediately came to Mike's aid. "I'm a nurse-and I'm a mother. When I see someone hurt, I want to help." While Mike was mostly okay, he did get a cut, where Sherry helped temporarily patch up with a piece of clothing, which Mike appreciated greatly. "Sherry's great-a real caring woman. She totally healed my knee, and didn't laugh about it." Which he couldn't say about Leon, Jerry, and Eric, who all thought it was hysterical. "I loved seeing Mike fall flat on his face while attempting to impress those girls. We got a coupl'a meatheads on our team, and that can be a blessin', but it can also be a huge curse", Leon says with a laugh.

Echira was able to reach their camp in good time. Immediately everyone rejoiced, and while everyone was dead tired, there was much work to be done. "It was great to finally reach camp", an exhausted Rosie told the camera. "But then you realize that there is much to be done before nightfall." But under Steve's leadership, things were being done quite efficiently. Steve delegated certain people to be in charge of the fire while others were in charge of the shelter. Dennis seemed to look up the most to Steve's leadership, and when the two walked to find a water source, strategy was already coming into play. "I know I just met you, but I really think you're an awesome guy", Dennis told Steve. Steve nodded, "Thanks, man." As they turned the corner and found the water source, Dennis and Steve high-fived. "Teamwork", Steve said simply. As they began to fill their canteens, Dennis started talking, "It might be a little early, but I was wondering if you would consider sticking together, because I honestly think we're the two strongest guys out here". Steve considered this, and nodded. "Yeah, definitely. Want to shake on it?" Thus, Dennis and Steve shook hands, and an early alliance was formed. "Just keep this on the down-low, alright?" Steve asked Dennis. Dennis nodded, "Of course." Both seemed to feel good about the new alliance. "So far, I totally trust Dennis", Steve exclaimed. "He seems like a really honest guy who is totally gung-ho about this game."

Invindo reached the camp with similar timing, and immediately got to work. However, there continued to be disorganization as there was no clear leader, with Leon sitting back a little more and letting someone else take the reins. It at first ended up being Jerry once again, who started by gathering wood for shelter. While preparing the shelter, Jerry decided to try to "lighten the mood" by making a few jokes, most of them directed at the women. "It's kind of nice that you ladies were able to get out of the kitchen and get out here in the wilderness", he said with a condescending laugh. "It's funny because you girls will probably be picking up after us filthy guys. The cycle of life. Like a monthly cycle, right ladies?"Jerry's jokes, while Mike and Eric found them amusing, were not found amusing by the women. "Jerry's an arrogant pig", Eve told the camera. "I really don't like him, and if he actually tries to be a leader, he will not get my respect." Eric, however, had a different approach. "I think Jerry's pissing off the women. Which is great. If I can take him to the end, he will never get the jury to vote for him, especially if he starts talking about menstrual cycles", Eric says with an ominous laugh.

When night fell, Echira didn't have fire, but they had shelter and water. However, they had to boil the water, and Doc was already getting dehydrated. He had already been annoying some of his tribemates by sitting around while they built the shelter. "I'm not good at tying knots", he said to them, and confirmed to the camera, "I really can't contribute to the overall quality of camp life. I can't make fire, I can't make shelter, and the heat is just killing me." While people seem to like Doc, it is clear that he is a very weak link in the tribe. "Doc is out of his element", Heather exclaimed. "I love the guy to death, but there's really no reason to keep him around." While some people don't see his worth, some people certainly look up to him. "I look at Doc as a grandfatherly figure", Brent said. "I think he's a great guy, with a heck of a lot of wisdom." Brent and Doc seem to be forming a close friendship, with Brent talking to Doc as he is lying on the ground, dehydrated. "Don't worry, buddy, we can get through this together", Brent encourages Doc. "Brent is a good kid. He's seems to be the only one who listens to me out here", Doc tells the camera. As night fell, the tribe gets comfortable in their newly built shelter and went to sleep.

The Invindo tribe woke up on Day 2 exhausted from no sleep. The shelter that Jerry had lead in building was already falling apart. "It is clear that Jerry doesn't know what the hell he's doing out here", a groggy Shelby proclaimed. "It's like the blind leading the blind." One person who wasn't blind to how camp life works is Leon, who had been up since the crack of dawn fishing a ways down the river from a self-made fishing pole. "I'm a commercial fisherman", Leon tells the camera. "I've done this thing all my life. Nobody else out here is even trying to get food, so I figured I'd step up." Indeed he did, and he returned to camp with a 9 fishes, one for everyone. Everyone was amazed and cheered for Leon. "After having a horrible night, it was such a blessing to have Leon come out of the woods with a big bucket of fish for everyone", Sherry said. As everyone was chowing down on their fish, Jerry realized that it was time to step down as a leader. "Leon's definitely proved himself to be the better leader", he said to the camera. "I figure-let the competent guy do it. If I keep screwing over the tribe, they're probably not going to like me very much.

Steve woke the Echira tribe up early to go out and explore the surrounding area. "It's important that we know what's around us", Steve explained to his tribe. "We need a couple of people to hang back---and I suggest Brent and Doc." Brent was confused by this statement. "Why me?" he asked. "We need someone to stay with Doc, and you guys seem to get along", Steve said, as he gathered his bag and attempted to gather everyone. While most seemed to accept Steve as a leader, some were having their doubts. "It's obvious that Steve was singling out Brent and Doc from the beginning. And it's a strategic move", Patty said to the camera. "It makes you realize that you have to watch out for this guy-he's not playing for the team, he's playing for himself." Nevertheless, the tribe followed Steve out to explore the area. Well, almost everyone. A few minutes later, Steve looks back to check on everyone to find that someone is missing-Patty. "Does anyone know where Patty went?" he asked the tribe in somewhat of a panic. Everyone looked around with him, and after a few minutes of calling her name, Steve suggested the tribe head back. Meanwhile, Patty was off doing her own thing, meditating under a tree by the river. "I decided to do my own exploring", Patty said. "I'm not the type that just falls in and conforms." Eventually she heard Steve calling her name, which broke her meditative state. She walked to where she thought she heard his voice, and was reunited with the group. It was clear that Steve was livid. "What the hell were you thinking, you just can't walk away from the group like that!" Steve snapped at her. "I don't know, I kinda wanted to do my own thing. I'm not really into the whole happy tribe, 'kumbaya' shit", Patty told Steve frankly. Taken aback, Steve simply told her, "You need to learn to be a team player, and work for the team." Patty simply shook her head and told Steve she was going back to camp with Brent and Doc. "It's clear that I am now third of Steve's hit list after Brent and Doc", Patty tells the camera. "I find it funny that he pretends that he wants to play this game as a team, when it's an individual game to win a million bucks. And I'm going to do what it takes." Meanwhile, Steve gathered the other five and they continued to walk the area. "Patty may be a force to be reckoned with later on", Steve says. "And I'm prepared for it."

Day Three brought a new shelter for the Invindo tribe. They had worked all day on it the previous day under Leon's direction, and they got a good night's sleep and were ready for the upcoming immunity challenge. "We got a strong tribe", Leon proclaimed. "We got four strong guys of me, Jerry, Eric, and Mike, and we got a few athletic girls, like Kym." Leon gathered his tribe together in a circle as they all put their hands together in a circle and cheered for their Invindo tribe to win. "It's weird that I'm the tribal expert on everything", Leon said. "I didn't come out to be the leader; it just sorta happened. I sure hope it doesn't screw me over." Everyone seemed pumped for the challenge, especially the athletic swimmer Kym. "I'm not sure if it's going to be a water challenge, but if it is, I'm going to kick some ass", Kym tells the camera. "Competition and athletics is my life, if I don't succeed at this, I might as well go home."

The Echira tribe was equally excited for the upcoming challenge. After reading the tree-mail, Steve was already strategizing on how to win the challenge. Doc, however, was very nervous. "I don't know how valuable I'm going to be in the physical challenges", Doc says. "I don't like exercise. Especially in my age. But if I end up dragging the team down, I'm finished."

The Invindo and Echira tribes met Jeff on the bank of the Ogooué for the first immunity challenge. "Welcome guys, to your first immunity challenge", he told them, and then he started to explain the challenge. "Today you will each be pulling a cart through the jungle. On the cart will be two of your tribe members, who will pick collect colored flags that are hanging from the trees. Once you get all five of your flags you will head to the final stage of the challenge, where you will try to fit each flag into its corresponding slot. Each flag will only fit in one slot. Once all five flags are in the correct slot, the final flag will drop, and the first tribe to place the final flag in its slot wins immunity, and a guaranteed safety from tribal council." After explaining this, Jeff told the tribes to pick who would be doing each job. The Invindo tribe chose Shelby and Camille to be carried on the cart while Echira chose Rachel and Heather. Jeff then lined them up and announced: "Survivors Ready? Go!"

Both tribes started out neck and neck, going down different paths to find their flags. For Echira, Steve was clearly leading the pack, telling his tribemates where to go, when to push, and showing Rachel and Heather the flags. Echira got to their flag first, and were in the lead. Invindo was slightly disorganized at first, but Leon, like Steve, began to lead his tribe down the path. However, they hit trouble when one of their wheels got caught in a small hole. This gave Echira time to get their second flag, with Invindo still having none. However, Leon and Mike were both able to lift the cart and keep going, with Leon screaming to his tribe to pick up the pace. They were able to get their first flag, but Echira had just picked up their third. However, Doc was growing very tired by this time, and soon after getting the third flag, he collapsed from exhaustion. Brent and Dennis tried to get him up, but with much difficulty. Steve was quite angry with this, shouting for Doc to "get up!" Invindo got their second flag, and were closing the gap. Doc was finally able to get up, but were largely being carried by the men. Dennis and Brent both tried to make Doc feel better by telling him that it was going to be okay, that they were quite ahead anyways. But Invindo just got their third flag, and the score was tied. When approaching their fourth flag, Doc fell over again. Realizing that he couldn't go on, Dennis had the idea of switching out Doc with Heather to be carried. Doc spent the rest of the challenge being carried by the chariot with Rachel getting the rest of the flags. However, it was too late at this point, as Invindo got their fourth flag, and were pulling ahead. After Rachel got the fourth flag, everyone began to slow down since they were pulling Doc, who is much heavier than Heather. Invindo got their fifth flag and quickly made it to the final station, where they worked on putting the flags in their correct places. Leon and Eric helped lead this, but Sherry, also good with puzzles, stepped up, as well. The three of them were able to get the flags in their correct places in no time, and the final flag dropped. The entire tribe brought the final flag to its slot, when Jeff shouted out, "Invindo wins immunity!"

The Invindo tribe cheered, as the Echira tribe slumped in defeat. "Invindo, you are safe from tonight's vote", Jeff announced. "Echira, I can't say the same for you guys. I'll see you tonight at tribal council." Jeff dismissed them, and the tribes returned to their respective camps.

Echira sadly returned to camp, knowing that they have to vote someone off at tribal council. However, for Steve, the decision wasn't hard. "Doc screwed the pooch at the immunity challenge today", Steve tells the camera. "It's only fair that we vote him out tonight." Doc was certainly feeling the heat in more ways than one. "I'm just so incredibly exhausted", Doc says somberly. "I just fell apart at the challenge. I couldn't do it. I know I'm going home tonight. I deserve to." But while Doc feels complacent on going home, Brent sees a much bigger target-Steve. "I have the feeling that Steve is gunning for me after Doc", Brent said. "Doc is my only ally-I can't let him go home." Brent tried talking to Doc about possibly changing things up and getting Steve off. "He's a threat. And he wants both of us gone", Brent told Doc. However, Doc saw things differently. "I deserve to go, kid. I screwed up. I didn't come out here to win the game." Doc's indifference on going home frustrated Brent, but he wasn't going to give up. He knew Patty had some issues with Steve, so he tried going to her. "Steve is going to run the game if we're not careful", Brent told Patty. Patty agreed. "I know, but if we're going to take him out tonight, we got to keep it seriously on the down-low", she told him. "We only need two more people", Brent said as Patty nodded. "I'm good at persuading people", she told him. "Let me handle it." She started by talking to the other girls, Rachel, Rosie, and Heather. "If the four of us can stick together, and bring in one of the guys like Brent, then Steve is gone", Patty proposed. While the three girls nodded in agreement, they started talking amongst themselves when Patty left. "What is she thinking, trying to take the strongest guy out of the game when Doc is clearly our weakest link?" the pragmatic Heather asked Rosie and Rachel. Both agreed with her, and even felt that Patty should go home. "She might be a serious trouble-maker later on", Rachel told the girls. "I really don't trust her." It didn't take long for Steve to find out that Patty was gunning for him when the girls joined Steve and Dennis and suggested to them that Patty should go home. "I can't believe my name was even brought up", Steve tells the camera. "I am the leader. If you cut the head off the chicken, the rest of the chicken's not going to know what to do." Dennis then proposed, "So should it be Patty? She clearly can't be trusted." The five of them seemed to agree, and decided to all vote together to oust Patty. "Should we tell anyone else?" Rachel asked. "No, we got the majority five here, nobody else needs to know, not even John", Steve said. John was, of course, out cutting down wood for more shelter and firewood. He hadn't been involved in any of the strategic decisions yet, not wanting to get involved in the game just yet. So it seemed to be a surefire thing: the five of them voting out Patty---but Brent saw the conspiracy, watching from the bushes the whole time. Although he obviously was left out of the decision, Brent couldn't care less-he was ecstatic that Doc wasn't in danger anymore. He ran back to camp, where Doc was lying in the shelter from exhaustion. Brent approached him and whispered, "You're safe Doc-it's Patty going home tonight." Doc smiled for Brent, but inside wasn't happy about the decision. "I deserve to go home tonight. Patty doesn't. It doesn't make sense for someone like me who doesn't want to play anymore stay, while Patty goes home. Maybe I need to take matters into my own hands", Doc ominously tells the camera.

A few hours later, the Echira tribe headed to their first tribal council. They were greeted by Jeff, who told them to grab their torches behind them and light them up. After sitting down, Jeff asked them a few questions before they were to vote. "So", Jeff started. "Welcome to your first tribal council. This is where you will be held accountable for your actions out here. Obviously, you lost the challenge today, and that is why you are here tonight. Steve, after meeting these people for such a short time, what do you base your vote on tonight?" Steve looked at Jeff and answered, "Well, you have to take in to account a lot of things. You have to look at what happened to the challenge today, and who was the weakest link…" After Steve says this, Doc feigns a nervous smile. "…but you also have to look at the overall unity of the tribe. If someone is causing a---problem around camp that threatens the overall happiness of the camp, that needs to be taken care of, as well." After this, Patty looks down at the ground, a bit nervous herself. "If you don't have a happy or unified tribe, then you really can't function", Steve warns. Jeff continues his questioning, and looks at Doc. "Doc, let's talk about the immunity challenge today. Obviously, you had a difficult time…" Suddenly Doc cuts him off. "Oh I know Jeff!" Doc laughs. "I'm the number one target here tonight, and I deserve it." Jeff nodded. "So even you agree that you should be in the hot seat tonight?" he asks Doc. "Oh, absolutely. I am by far the weakest link on this tribe, and if I were them, I'd vote me out," Doc answers. His answers surprise some people, particularly Dennis, who laughs heartily, and Brent, who just shakes his head. Jeff picks up on this and starts to question Brent. "Brent, you're shaking your head. You disagree?" Brent looks up at Jeff. "Jeff, I think that Doc is a huge inspiration to our tribe." At this, Steve rolls his eyes. "I think that we could greatly use his wisdom on this tribe. Doc just isn't giving himself enough credit. Doc isn't getting my vote tonight, that's for sure." Jeff nodded. "So what are you basing your vote on, then?" Brent is not shy about looking at Steve when he answers his next question. "I think it's funny how some people talk about keeping a unified tribe when they intentionally single people out for their own personal benefit." Jeff picks up on Brent's statement. "Steve, it looks like Brent just pointed a big finger at you." Steve shrugs this off. "Honestly, Jeff, he can think what he wants, I'm just trying to make a stronger tribe." Brent takes a page from Steve and rolls his eyes. "So Patty", Jeff continues. "It seems like there is a lot of finger pointing and name calling going on tonight, and the tribe isn't as unified as it might appear to be. What do you base your vote on tonight?" Like Brent, Patty looks at Steve when she answers simply, "I'm voting for the biggest liar on the tribe." Feeling pelted by insults, Steve shakes his head and looks down on the group. It doesn't take long for Doc to chime in. "Can I say something, Jeff?" he asks. "Go right ahead", Jeff nods. Doc continues. "I came into tribal tonight knowing exactly what I was going to do tonight, and I think that now is the best time to say it before things get ugly tonight. Honestly, I feel like I am letting my tribe down. I feel like I am truly the weakest link out here, and I told myself that when I came out here if I felt at any point that I felt I didn't belong here and couldn't go on, I would take myself out of the game." At this statement, jaws drop, especially Doc's allies Brent and Patty. "So just to be clear", Jeff confirms, "you want to leave this game tonight?" Doc nods. "Yes, sir. I came out here and I did everything I set out to do. I am quite certain that I will not be lasting 39 days out here anyway, so I think for the betterment of the tribe, it is time for me to leave."After hearing this, Steve buries his face in his hands, realizing that his plan to oust his two biggest adversaries has been shot to hell. "Well then", Jeff says, "if you are ready to go home, then we don't need to vote tonight. Doc, grab me your torch." At this, Doc grabs his belongings and gives a handshake to everyone left in the game. When he gives Brent a handshake, he whispers to him, "stay in it, kid." As he watches his friend walk towards Jeff, !+%#! well in his eyes. Once Doc places his torch in front of Jeff, Jeff pulls out the snuffer and says, "Doc, per your wishes", and as he douses Doc's torch, simply tells him, "It's time for you to go." As Doc leaves, he gives one final salute to his tribe, and Jeff lays Doc's torch down in front of the fire. "Well guys, I can see by the looks of some of your faces that this was certainly a surprise. It also looks like this tribe is not as unified as it seems. Go back to camp and get some rest, good night." The eight remaining members of Echira grab their torches and leave tribal council, preparing themselves for another 36 days in Gabon.

Well, I guess this game just wasn't cut out for me. But it was a great experience. I came out and did everything I wanted to do, and I proved that while I may not be cut out for camping out in the wilderness, I know when my time is up and I can leave on a good note. I wish Brent and Patty the best of luck, and of course I am rooting for the Echira tribe to take the other guys to the bank.

Episode 2: "I Just Wish He Would Go to Heck and Die"

Previously on "Survivor"…

18 contestants arrived at their respective camps to begin the game. They were divided into two tribes: Echira and Invindo. On Invindo, Jerry tried to take a leadership role, but found himself failing several times, first by steering the rowboat backwards on the way to camp, and then by irritating the women with his sexist jokes. Luckily, Leon stepped up and became a very strong leader for the tribe, although on intending to. On Echira, Steve took a very dominant leadership role, and making an early alliance with Dennis, but making enemies with Brent and Patty. Family physician Doc had a hard time adjusting to the elements, and only formed a friendship with one person, Brent. At the immunity challenge, Invindo won, sending Echira to tribal council, where Patty started to strategize to oust leader Steve, but it backfired on her, and the rest of the tribe decided to vote her out instead of the weak Doc. However, at tribal council, Doc shocked his tribe by laying down his torch and quitting the game. 17 remain, who will be the next to go?

On return to camp, Steve was not happy over some of the words that were spoken, particularly from Brent and Patty. "So, Brent", Steve started. "You think I'm singling you out for MY own personal benefit? What kind of leader would that make me?" Brent shot back at him, "Exactly the kind of leader I think you are. I feel completely excluded from the tribe!" Steve simply shook his head. "That's because you allied with the wrong people. Doc needed to go, everyone agreed on it, except for you. You did this all by yourself." As Steve was lashing out at Brent, Patty walked away from camp. "I know that once Steve was done with Brent, then I would be next. I got the hell outta there", Patty tells the camera. Meanwhile, back at camp, Brent and Steve were getting more and more upset with each other, with the rest of the tribe awkwardly watching them. "You're a bully, Steve!" Brent accused. "And Patty's right, you are a liar! Who the heck cares if I make friends with Doc, I can be friends with whoever the heck I want to; it shouldn't make me an outcast!" Steve shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever, Brent, I don't want to fight with you anymore, I just want to go to sleep." After that, Steve ignored anything else Brent said that night. Steve revealed his strategy in doing this to the camera: "By going to sleep, I got the last word, and he was the one who looked silly by continuing to try to argue with me. I'm just tired of him and his self-righteous, holier than thou attitude. Sometimes I just wish he would go to heck and die."

The next morning, things at Echira were tense. Brent and Steve were not talking, and nobody else knew what to day. After calling Steve a liar the night before, Patty realized that she had to do some damage control. "After seeing how angry Steve was last night, I realized how stupid it was for me to lash out at him", Patty said. "I practically made myself an outcast of this tribe. But I have an attack instinct when someone pisses me off. I have to have a little more tact. For now." And that she did, as when she had the chance, she took Steve aside. "I just want to say that I was out of line in calling you a liar last night", she told him. Steve looked at her, and seemed to appreciate her apology. "Listen", Steve told her, "all I want is for us to be a cohesive, unified tribe. As long as you're willing to work with me, we'll have an understanding." Patty nodded agreeably, but had other thoughts. "Steve is like a mafia boss", Patty says. "He uses intimidation to get what he wants. But right now, I have to go with the flow and do what he wants. But the next chance I get, I'm going to get my claws out and slit his throat. I do not want to see Steve in the end, and I'm going to make sure it never happens. But sometimes the best strategy is to keep your enemies in the palm of your hand."

Things at Invindo were somewhat tense as well, especially after Jerry continued to make wisecracks to Sherry and Eve as they were making a breakfast of cornmeal. "Women in the kitchen doing their wifely duty", Jerry cracked. Eric and Mike both laughed along with him. "Jerry, Eric, and Mike are the Three Musketeers", Eve tells the camera. "Jerry makes the jokes, and his two little minions laugh along with him. I can't stand it." After breakfast, the five girls of Sherry, Eve, Camille, Kym, and Shelby went into the lake to bathe in the water. "I really can't stand Jerry being around here", Eve told the girls. Kym agreed, "It's Eric and Mike too, they're all obnoxious. And you know they'll never align with us ladies. It's a freakin' guy's club" The girls nodded, and Eve spoke up. "You know, we have a majority over the guys. If the five of us stick together, we could take them out one by one." Camille and Shelby laughed. "That would be sweet", Shelby said. "Those guys think their running the show", Kym pointed out. "If we take one of them out at the first tribal, it will totally catch them off guard." Eve, seemingly the leader of the women, decided to make it official. "So the five of us, should we all agree to stick together?" Everyone nodded, and laughed at the thought of blindsiding Jerry at the next tribal council. However, Sherry had her apprehensions, but she only vocalized them to the camera. "Although I went along with what the girls were saying, I'm a little unsure about where I want to go in this game", she said. "I don't know if I trust those girls. I'm by far the oldest one of the five, which automatically makes me somewhat of an outsider. Those girls can relate better with each other than they can with me. Honestly, I would love to see Jerry go, but picking off the guys one by one could really hurt us, especially if we want to win challenges."

The tribes arrived at their first reward challenge, once again beside the river. There they saw one station for each tribe blocked off by a rope, and a long balance beam extending across the river and into the jungle. Jeff greeted them, "Come on in, guys." As the tribes arrived, Invindo saw that Doc was missing. "Invindo getting their first look at the new Echira tribe, Doc quit at the last tribal council." Nobody seemed shocked by that statement, so Jeff went on to explain the challenge. "Each tribe has to put together a 8-piece totem pole to win the challenge. To get all 8 pieces, each tribe member will go across the balance beam one at a time for each tribe, go into the jungle, and dig for a puzzle piece in the large sandpit. If at any point you fall off the balance beam, you must go back to the start and tag someone else in. Want to know what you are playing for?" Everyone nodded. Jeff unveiled a platter of fishing equipment as everyone ooed and aahed, especially fisher Leon, who couldn't wait to get his hands on some real fishing equipment. "Invindo, since you have one extra member, you're sitting someone out." Invindo chose Jerry, since he wasn't good at balance or puzzles. "Okay, get to your stations and let's get started."

Each tribe had to choose five runners and three puzzle solvers. Invindo chose Kym, Mike, Camille, Eve, and Shelby to be the runners and Leon, Eric, and Sherry to solve the puzzle. Echira chose Rachel, Dennis, John, Heather, and Rosie to be the runners while Steve, Brent, and Patty were solving the puzzle. Kym and Rachel were out running first, and both of them were considerably quick and well-balanced. Rachel had a slight lead over Kym, as she got off the beam first and started digging. Kym was right behind her, but Rachel continued her slight edge over Kym as she got back to the other side first and tagged in Heather. Kym was right behind and tagged in Mike. Heather was slow and steady while Mike caught up and breezed through the balance beam, taking the lead. However, he had a harder time finding the piece, getting Heather a chance to catch up. He was still able to make it back before her though, as he found the piece and quickly breezed back down the balance beam, tagging out Camille. Heather hurried up a little more, knowing her tribe was behind. When she got to the other side, she tagged out John, who was very limber and fast. When Camille took a tumble on the balance beam, Invindo lost their lead, and John was able to get to the sandpit to collect the third puzzle piece. Camille tagged out Eve, who tried to catch up, but as she was going toward the sandpit, John was already returning, and tagged out Dennis, who was taking his time. Invindo was one piece behind as Dennis came back with the fourth and Eve came back with the third at the same time. This continued as Rosie and Shelby went to get their pieces. Rosie had a couple of close calls, but was able to make it back, and maintained Echira's lead, tagging Rachel back out to get their sixth piece while Shelby had to tag Camille out again. This time she was much more careful, but her slowness cost Invindo even more. Rachel came back with the sixth and tagged John out this time, who moved quickly to get the seventh piece. When John was digging for his seventh, Camille finally arrived to dig for Invindo's fifth. Camille was able to find a piece quickly and head back, but John surpassed her on the beam again and tagged Heather out to get the eighth and final piece. Camille finally made her way back and tagged Kym out again, who tried to narrow the gap. She was able to get to the sandpit when Heather was digging for the final piece, and they both left the sandpit at the same time. Although Kym surpassed her on the beam and tagged Mike out to get the seventh piece, Heather brought the eighth and final piece, letting Steve, Brent, and Patty work on the puzzle. They were somewhat disorganized, and Steve was telling them what to do, but Brent and Patty were not listening, and putting the puzzle together their own way. By the time Mike came back with the seventh piece and tagged Eve out to get the final piece, Echira had made no progress, and Brent and Steve were fighting over the puzzle. While the two men were fighting, Patty took matters into her own hands and started to build the puzzle herself. She was able to get the first three pillars in when Eve came back with the final piece and Eric, Sherry, and Leon started working on the puzzle. They were much more cohesive, and were beginning to catch up, but Patty was able to get five of the pieces in while Eric, Sherry and Leon only got three. Eventually Brent and Steve saw Patty's progress, and started to help her. After the three of them worked together, it didn't take long for them to get the final three pieces in. They called Jeff to look at their pole, and Jeff announced, "Echira! Wins reward!" Echira ran up to their fishing gear and were overjoyed before Jeff told them that they had to send someone to Exile Island. They chose Leon, feeling he was the strongest on their tribe. Leon went to Exile Island while the other two tribes went back to camp.

Echira was ecstatic to win the reward challenge. "Having actual fishing equipment really makes things a lot easier around camp", Steve says. "And keeping the fishing equipment away from professional Leon over on the other side is the icing on the cake. Dennis was quite happy, as well. "I love to fish. Before my dad died, I went fishing with him every weekend. It brings back a lot of old memories", Dennis said as his voice quivered. When Dennis went out to fish for the first time, Rachel tagged along with him, holding onto his arm as she talked and joked with him on the way down the river. "I've never been fishing before", she told him. "You're gonna have to show me what to do." As Rachel continued to talk to him as they walked down the path to the river, Dennis nodded, smiling. "I really like Rachel a lot. She's got a really cool personality. But she doesn't really realize that when you fish, you have to be quiet," Dennis says with a smile. "I don't mind, though." Indeed, as Dennis was trying to fish, Rachel continued to talk. "Sweet, you cocked that thing back like a pro", she would tell him as he threw his line into the water like any normal fisherman. "You're gonna have to let me give it a try. I played softball for six years when I was a kid, took home the state championship, so I bet I can throw it further than you", she challenged him with a wink. Dennis smiled back at her. Although she didn't really help him concentrate on the fishing, Dennis liked her company. "She's real cute. When she's talking to me, I don't really even care about the fish." Rachel confirms an attraction to him. "Yeah, I like Dennis", she says with a laugh. "I'm not a flirt; it's not my strategy. But I think he's cute."

While Rachel and Dennis were fishing with real equipment, Leon was at Exile Island making another one of his own poles. "I actually like being alone once in a while. Although I do worry about my tribe", Leon confesses. "But I can't wait to bring a big thing of fish home to them when I get back." When getting the clue to the idol, Leon wasn't too worried about it. "It's certainly a valuable item. But right now, I need a little stress-free alone time."

At Invindo, Eric was tending to the fire when he saw the four younger girls walk off together to bathe once again. His intuition was telling him that the women were in the early stages of forming an alliance. "I see Camille, Kym, Shelby, and Eve together all the time", Eric tells the camera. And I know Kym and Eve have vocalized a problem with Jerry. That worries me, because if they get Sherry on their side, the women have a 5-4 advantage to take out the men" Eric voiced this concern with Jerry. "Honestly", Jerry told Eric "It would be stupid for the women to take the men out. They need us for our strength." Eric nodded, but inside knew the flaw in Jerry's thinking. "I think the guys need to stick together and vote the same way this tribal council just as a precaution", Eric suggested. "Me, you, and Mike have an alliance. All we need is Leon, and maybe he can pull Sherry in." Jerry nodded. "I'm all for that", he affirmed. "I just think that the men need to stick together," Eric affirmed to him. Jerry agreed, but wasn't sure that Eric was a hundred percent thinking clearly. "I think Eric is making too much of this. The women would be idiotic to rise against the men. We're the strength in challenges. We're the providers. They're the cookers and the cleaners", he said with a stone face, but then flashed a smirk at the camera. "I don't know. I'm not much of a strategist, especially this early in the game. It's too early to be making big moves. But if Eric wants to shake things up, I'll back him on it. I'll be his pony."

The fifth night in Gabon was colder than usual, and since Dennis was laying next to her in the shelter as everyone was going to sleep, Rachel took his arm and wrapped it around her. He then moved closer to her and the two started to cuddle. Some of their tribe mates thought it was 'cute' that the two were getting so close. "I think Dennis and Rachel are both really sweet people," Rosie tells the camera. "They make a really cute couple." However, others were a little more cynical. "Rachel is totally playing the flirt card", Patty said. "It's kind of a weird environment to be sparking a romance in, but if it gets you further in the game, and if you're as pretty as Rachel is, you might as well use it." Steve began to see this as a good thing for his alliance with Dennis. "Dennis and I are a tight alliance. If he brings in Rachel, the three of us could bank it to the end. I just hope that she doesn't distract him from the strategy of the game." Whether or not the tribe thought that the romance was true love or true strategy, everyone got a good night's sleep that night.

It was Day 6, and the immunity challenge was coming up. Steve was giving his normal pre-game pep talk to his tribe, but he realized that someone was missing: John. John, in fact, was working, as always. "I honestly don't care for Steve as a leader", John says in private. He's all talk. He doesn't actually do any work around here except tell people what they need to do." John eventually joined his tribe, coming out of the woods and bringing a huge bundle of firewood. "Lumberjack John is at your service", John announced to the tribe. With everyone focused on the immunity challenge, nobody thought about making a fire, but John wanted to boil some water before the big immunity challenge, so he took the initiative to build a fire, which was a breath of fresh air to the tribe. "I'm a lumberjack. I was born to work", John tells the camera. "My dad raised me right, he taught me that if you want to earn anything, you have to work at it. I've done that all my life." And it seems like John continues to impress the tribe as he never sits down for anything. "After John starts the fire, he goes out fishing. Then he comes back and fixes the shelter. And then he goes to the challenges with us and proves himself there", Rosie said. "I am really impressed with the guy's work ethic. He may not talk much, but there is absolutely no reason to get rid of him. He's our MVP."

Echira andInvindo arrived at their second immunity challenge, where it appeared they would be competing in a long, shallow mud pit. Invindo was happy to see Leon stroll in behind them from Exile. When Eric gave Jeff the immunity idol back, he went into the instructions on the challenge. "This challenge is very much like a good old fashioned football game. There are five bags in the center of the field. In order to win the challenge, one tribe must have all five bags behind their goal at one time. The challenge might get a little physical, and a little dirty; since you will be playing in the mud. But it's all for one valuable object: this immunity idol, which will keep you from going to tribal council. Sound good?" Both tribes nodded. "Invindo, since you have one extra member, you're sitting someone out." Invindo chose to sit out Sherry, and the games began. "Survivors ready? Go!"

Immediately both tribes had four people on offense and four people on defense. For Echira, Rosie, Brent, Patty, and Heather were playing defensively while Dennis, John, Steve, and Rachel were on the offensive. Rosie and Brent were guarding the goal while Heather and Patty were on the field. For Invindo, Camille, Shelby, Eric, and Eve were on the defensive while Mike, Jerry, Kym, and Leon were on the offensive. Camille and Eve were guarding the goal while Shelby and Eric were out in the field. The eight offensive tribe members ran for the center, with Leon and Kym getting two bags and Dennis, John, and Rachel getting the other three. Shelby went for Rachel, but Rachel was able to fend Shelby off and get to the goal. Eric went for Dennis while Jerry went for John. Both were good fights, and Eric was successfully able to steal Dennis' bag while John was able to fend Jerry off. Steve went for Leon but was unsuccessful, and Patty went for Kym, and was surprisingly able to wrench the bag from her at first, but Kym went straight back for her. At this point, Invindo and Echira both had two bags, with Kym and Patty continuing to fight for each other. While they were fighting, John and Dennis went over to the other side to steal the two bags, while Jerry and Leon went over to the other side. Jerry and Leon were met with much resistance, but on the other side, John took guard Camille by the ankle and threw her to the ground, taking the bag and running before anyone could catch him. Dennis met resistance from Eric once again, and the two fought hard. Dennis this time was able to steal the bag from Eric, but Eric was able to wrestle him down mid-field. Patty was slowly getting her bag closer to Echira's side, while John was able to score another one for Echira, making it three on their side with now none for Invindo. All of Invindo, except for Camille, who appeared to hurt her foot, charged Echira to get their bags, but the super-strong John was able to fend off all of them, with help from his other tribe members. Eventually Patty was able to score her bag onto the Echira side, and it was all down to Eric versus Dennis, where Dennis was dangerously close to scoring immunity for Echira. Eric continued to wrestle him, but at this point Dennis was still able to crawl to Echira's goal and win immunity for his team. "Echira! Wins Immunity!" Echira was extremely triumphant after winning their first immunity, and Jeff gave the idol to Dennis. "Well earned. You are safe from tribal council." He then looked at Invindo. "Invindo, can't say the same to you guys. Head back to camp, I'll see you tonight." And with that, the Invindo tribe, defeated, walked back to camp.

On return from camp, the overall mood on the Invindo tribe was solemn, not wanting to go to tribal council and vote someone off. Not only that, but Camille had badly hurt her ankle. "When John threw me in the water by my ankle, I think it pulled a muscle down there or something", Camille informed the camera. She was practically limping all the way to camp until she finally plopped down in front of the fire and didn't move an inch after that. "I don't want to irritate it. I just hope it isn't a factor at tribal council." While Camille was resting andSherry was taking a look at her ankle, Eve, Kym, andShelby were once again bathing in the river, strategizing. "So it's definitely Jerry, right?" Eve asked. Kym and Shelby both nodded. "Definitely", they said in unison. "There's no way that either of those girls are going to flip on us," Shelby added. "I really want to make things happen tonight," Eve told the camera. "I really want Jerry off. I'm pretty sure I can trust Camille and Sherry, but nothing's a hundred percent." Like Eve, Eric was eager to let the games begin. "I'm totally ready to get this game started. Immediately after Leon returned to camp with us, I started to strategize and figure out which girl we need to gun for," Eric said to the camera. "For me it was a no-brainer. Camille hurt her ankle. She's practically limping now, and she's not going to do much for the team. I think it's time to put the dog down and put it out of its misery." When Leon went out to fish, Eric followed him. "Basically, Camille is worthless now that she hurt her ankle. It could take a long time to heal. Plus she isn't that great in challenges or around camp to begin with." Leon agreed, and while he was apprehensive about creating an alliance with Eric and Jerry, whom he didn't like or trust, he felt their value more. "Jerry and Mike are the meatheads of the tribe. Eric's the snake. I don't trust any of 'em. But all three of them are valuable in challenges, we need them to keep winning", Leon told the camera. "Right now, Camille is our weakest link. She hasn't really been stellar in the challenges or around camp, and things could get even worse now that she hurt her ankle. She hasn't moved a muscle since getting back from the challenge. Being the leader of the tribe, I gotta be pragmatic about the decisions, and unfortunately, Camille is the best person to go." However, Eric only had four people to pull this off, and he needed Leon's help to get the fifth person. "If this is going to happen", Eric told Leon, "we need one of the girls." Leon didn't even think before he told Eric the person to talk to. "Sherry". Eric nodded, and Leon promised Eric that he would talk to her. "Sherry and I got a good rapport. The two of us by far work the hardest around camp. She gets up with me in the morning and helps start the fire and cook breakfast while I go fishin'", Leon said. "The two of us are by far the oldest people on our tribe, and I think if we keep each other's backs in this game, it could do us good." It didn't take long for Leon to confront Sherry. "Listen, would you be willing to vote Camille tonight?" he asked her. Sherry paused. "I don't know, the girls have an alliance to get Jerry out, and I kind of pledged my loyalty to them." Leon nodded, "I understand, but think about it. If you girls take it to the five, then you're out fifth. If we align with Jerry, Eric, and Mike, it might do us good. Eric's thick as a thief, he could easily turn on his buddies." Sherry agreed, but was still apprehensive. "Can I think about it?" she asked Leon. "Definitely, but know the truth-I got your back a hundred percent. No matter what happens tonight, it's true." Sherry nodded. "I definitely trust Leon. He's a great guy, a great leader. We could totally take it to the end", Sherry said. "I have a really hard decision to make tonight, because while I want Jerry out more, I agree that Camille really is the weakest link of our tribe, especially after she hurt her ankle. There are a lot of factors that come into play here. If I go with the girls, Jerry is out, which is a huge plus. If I go with Leon and the guys, I'm making more of a practical decision and getting rid of the weakest player. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I might not make my decision until I get up to vote at tribal council."

The sun had just set when Invindo arrived at their first tribal council. "Welcome to tribal council", Jeff announced, telling the tribe to dip their torches in the fire, and take a seat. He then started with the questioning. "Well, it's your first tribal council. After tonight, you will be even with Echira", Jeff affirmed to the tribe. First of all, I have to ask you Camille, I saw you limping into tribal council. What happened?" Camille told Jeff, "At the immunity challenge, when John dropped me in the water, I think I may have sprained my ankle. It's fine though, it'll heal with a little rest." Jeff nodded. "Well I have to say, you guys got pummeled two times in a row, first at the reward challenge and then at the immunity challenge. Leon, how do you come back from that?" Leon smiled and said, "Well, we won the first challenge, so it's not like we're incapable of beatin' them or nothin'. We can win, and now that we've lost twice it gets us pumped up to win the next challenge. They only got one challenge up on us." Jeff nodded. "So Eric, what do you do now to bounce back?" "Well, Jeff", Eric started. "We're at tribal council for a reason, and I think that if we vote out the weakest player, that might help us win the challenges." At that, Camille looked down, realizing that she could be a target due to her recent ankle injury. "So Jerry", Jeff started, "Why keep you tonight? What do you bring to the tribe?" "Well, I think I'm a good leader", Jerry told Jeff as Kym and Shelby's eyes both rolled. "And I'm a strong force in challenges." Jeff nodded. "Sherry, what do you bring to the tribe?" Jeff asked. "I think I bring a strong work ethic and a positive attitude", Sherry said quickly, as Leon nodded agreeably. "And when Camille hurt her ankle today, I was there to help." Jeff looked back over to Camille. "Camille, you just hurt your ankle. What's keeping me from thinking, 'Well, she's going to be a liability in challenges, let's just get rid of her?" Camille thought about it and answered, "I think that regardless of my injury I will still perform well in challenges. "Eve, when your evaluating your tribe, what comes into mind first, do you think about who's working hard around camp or who performs best in challenges?" Jeff asked. "I think both of those are important", Eve told Jeff. "But I think that tonight my vote is going to be based on who we could lose to make our tribe more unified, because I think that in the end, that's what's going to keep us winning challenges." Jeff nodded, and then told the tribe. "On that note, it is time to vote. Camille, you're up." Camille walked up to the booth slowly and cast her vote. Shelby was right behind her, and then Eve, who quickly wrote down Jerry's name. "I really can't stand another minute with you around. I cannot wait to see the look on your face tonight. It was nice knowin' ya." Eve quickly put the vote in the box, and Mike came up next to vote, followed by Leon. Up next was Kym, and then Eric, who cast his vote for Camille. "You're a nice girl. But I got to protect my alliance. Nothing personal." The final person who came up to the voting booth was fittingly the swing vote. Sherry thought for a minute before casting her vote. When she came back, Jeff went to tally the votes. When he came back, he announced. "If anyone has the immunity idol, and they would like to play it, now would be the time." Because Leon spent little time looking for the idol, it hadn't been found yet, so Jeff went ahead reading the votes. "Once the votes are read, the decision is final, and the person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes." Jeff opened the jar, and read the first vote. "First vote: Jerry." Jerry nodded, somewhat expecting a vote. "Second vote: Camille." Camille nodded, as well as Jeff read the third vote: "Jerry. That's two votes Jerry. One vote Camille." Jeff read the next vote: "Camille. We're tied, 2 votes Camille, 2 votes Jerry." It was expected to be a close vote, so nobody was surprised. Jeff went ahead and read the next vote. "Jerry. That's three votes Jerry." Jerry nodded, a bit more worried. Jeff read the next vote. "Jerry. That's four votes Jerry, two votes Camille." Jerry was now beginning to worry that half of his alliance turned on him. He breathed a sigh of relief when Jeff read the next vote. "Camille." Camille nodded, and like Jerry, was beginning to get more tense. Jeff read the next vote: "Camille. We're tied again, four votes Camille, four votes Jerry. One vote left. I'll read the last vote." Everyone was incredibly nervous as Jeff read the final, deciding vote. "The first person voted out of the Invindo tribe is: Camille." Kym, Shelby, and Eve were visibly shocked, fully expecting it to be Jerry. Camille was, as well, but simply got up at limped to Jeff as he doused her torch. "Camille, the tribe has spoken." Camille then walked somberly away from tribal council as all of the girls, except Sherry, were quite shocked and shaken. "Well it seems that you make a decision to vote out your weakest member", Jeff observed. "We'll see how it turns out. Head back to camp, I'll see you tomorrow." After Jeff dismissed them, the eight remaining Invindo tribe members returned to camp.
