VWs are clunky, rattley, plasticy hunks of crap. And they make they uncomfortable on purpose so you won't fall asleep and crash or something. Stupid.

Where else do you bring the stuffed dead dog? How does Lola like him?

did they at least stuff his empty ball sack back to manufacturers specs?
P.S. hear about the Calgary Zoo's stingray massacre? Saw Shipley's comments in the paper about the TZ trying to prevent the same from happening at your house. |

I bet you all hate feeding the Reptiles.
Which animals do staff want to spend more time with, which less? Were you ever there as an employee or visitor in the good olde Domain Ride (monorail) days? |
|||
Loki |

actually lots of keepers like the reptiles.
I'm thinking lately no one wants to spend time with the reindeer. I never rode the monrail but old time staff still talk about the accident and the tracks still run throughout the zoo. |

Thanks!! Hopefully I won't get screwed over! I will let you know how it goes.

They are afraid they'll see you beating the baby boy reindeers to death.
Do many animals still require live meat, does that turn any keepers off feeding them, or have they eliminated all need of live food? |

Make sure and bring a man with you to the dealership, otherwise you'll get screwed.

the only live food that's fed is crickets.
All the big cats get horsemeat daily, bones, and a rabbit once a week. all reptiles and birds of prey get pinky mice, chicks, or small rabbits that have just been killed. I don't think it turns keepers off, animals having to eat is part of nature. although the reason is that while animals do need to eat, the Zoo doesn't want to put live prey under stress, and secondly, if live prey decides to defend itself it could be harmful to our animals. If you ever see snakes with scars in a zoo you can assume they have lived in the wild in their past. Zoo bred snakes won't have scars, cause they eat dead prey on a stick. |

being where the zoo is, do wild rabbits get into any of the carnivores outdoor enclosures? I'd laugh if poor Bugs pops up from a hole in a leopard or
cheetahs backyard.

Tongua, our Siberian tiger killed a raccoon last year and all the cheetahs are amazing at catching geese. Two years ago a deer from the Rouge Valley got into
the lion enclosure, they killed it, and Rowdy wouldn't go in the night pen for 2 days cause he was guarding it.
any wild animal that we find dead around the Zoo is immediately bagged and tagged for the vets to test for disease so we can monitor the wildlife that may come into contact with our animals. Sometimes you'll see geese or raccoons with tags, they were prolly caught while injured. |

I could use those cheetah to eat a few thousand local geese in Nova Scotia.
If Lindy saw the deer first would he have challenged the old man for lunch meat? |
|||
Loki |

aww I can't believe you know Lindy's name!
