No more backdoors, no more plan B, C, D, Z, just good ol' campain the living shit out of your fellow nominee if you wanna stay. Not to mention people would fight a lot harder to win HOH if there were no vetos.

I know I've said it a million times, but just get rid of the goddam veto.

I DO think the way in which the POV is used in the game needs to be tweaked especially because at this point the houseguests are too comfortable with its presence and how it can be used to potentially backdoor others. However, I do think its an essential part of the game. The ONLY problem with BB2 was the fact that after the nominations were in place often times the nominees were resigned to their fates and it was a done deal who was leaving right from the very beginning. Yes sometimes there was back and forth but there was far too much downtime between nominations and evictions for the two nominees. Not to mention the rest of the house is completely safe for another week without anything to worry about. The POV keeps everyone in the house on edge. Anyone can potentially win it and no one is safe until after nominations. More complex strategy comes into play because of the POV as well....taking it away after over 6 seasons would be a step back for the overall BB franchise. And fighting for the HOH harder is all for nothin' when BB keeps throwing in so many trick questions in the trivia competitions. The HOH's need to
be based less on dumb luck and more on actually knowing the game, the houseguests, house, and just simply wanting it bad enough. Maybe there needs to be more
incentive for winning HOH besides the room? Something to make sure half the house doesn't throw the early comps.

While I would LOVE to see things like:
*No Veto. *Better House. *HOH - Two nominees. NOTHING else. *No twists. We will end up with things like this: *Probably an even more powerful tweak on the veto, making HOH practically useless. *Same old house, new (and crappy) decor. *HOH-Two nominees. Same old crappy Veto. *Some random ass (and overused) pre-existing relationship(s) It's BBUS...we have to take it for what it is. |

Since those that want to eliminate the veto appear to want to emphasize the social game and deemphasize the competition game, I wonder if this should be
extended to the HOH too. Make the HOH be a social competition like a weekly election campaign leading to an HOH vote by the houseguests, perhaps?

That wouldn't work because one side of the house would just take over completely.
They should have three nominees instead of two. That means the HoH would have to piss off even more people. Maybe they could change the veto to an immunity challenge that people could win to keep them safe from nomination. They need more endurance challenges too. Those are way more fun than the stupid quizzes. |

Structurally, the game is set up perfectly fine the way it is. Getting rid of the veto would get rid of so much drama. It would be kinda cool if they switched
shit up every week (this week will have three nominees, this week will have no veto, this week will have only the nominees and the HoH play veto, etc.) but it
would seem like a kinda hamhanded attempt at rigging by the producers. Maybe they could have the HGs spin a wheel or something? That would be fun, but it would
run a risk of not really "getting over" on TV.
I would like them to give monetary awards for competition wins so we'll have less comp-throwers, but they're cheap so that's probably not happening. More than anything else, they just need to try casting 16 (or 14, or 12, or whatever) people who are at least two of the following three: interesting, intelligent and attractive. We had people this season who were none of these things. Also, the pre-existing relationship twists are just about necessary to ensure that people are at each other's throats from the first day. I can understand why you'd think this shit's unfair, but they just can't have those fuckers getting along. I'm cool with it as long as it doesn't give us boring people - the way it was implemented in BB8 was perfect, Joe, Dustin, Jess and the Donatos were all good casting, and Carol was ridiculously hot. |

More vetos. So the veto could veto the veto that had just replaced the veto which all originated from the first veto. At least 4 vetos a week.

They need to keep the veto.. I think the game itself is fine, they just need better people and more ways to make the house more fun and exciting.
IA with a lot of the suggestions people already gave. We do need another "hot chick" to root for.. but a strong one (of course, that will come with 3,298,329 Janelle wannabe accusations...god forbid she be blonde) I like the idea of having BB talk to the houseguests more and fuck around with them.. telling them off and making fun of them. They do need to punish them for breaking the rules. If someone breaks a rule, instead of a "stop that", there should be a fucking jail cell that they have to stay in for an hour or more. They should take a lot of tips from international seasons. They need to make the house look nicer. Make it more modern, more colorful, more vibrant.. no fucking boat beds or tropical dressers. I want a house that looks like the Australian/UK seasons. They should cut out slop/PB&J and have food competitions with different outcomes. If they win, they make their own food for the week. If they lose as a house, every one of them eats what BB gives them.. whether BB gives them good food or bad. No other options. They should have AC's that are bad. Like, every week, America votes one houseguest to spend the night isolated in a cell or empty room. That will drive them crazy and make them mope over the fact that they're disliked. I also think they need to make the house not smaller, but more together. It would be funny if there was one bedroom with one bed like this season on BBAU. There wouldn't be as many places to hide from each other and talk game behind people's backs. Oh yeah, give them a real pet. Like a small puppy. I don't care if it's extreme. |

Cats would be more practical pets, as they are litter trained and the backyard is fake grass. I would like the fish tank to come back and BB switch to the
fish whenever they don't have the feeds up. Bring back the first BB theme song for the feeds blackout music.

I can't believe I am getting a little excited that we will have bb10 in just 2 months from this weekend. All of these suggestions are getting me excited. But I know none of them will be followed. |

I really like the way Big Brother UK does their nomination ceremony. Each housemate votes for two people to be nominated, and the two people with the highest
amount of votes are on the block.
It's always fun in BBUK when seven people are all nominated at one time. |

I'm with QSF here....ditch the slop and bring back the PB&J.
Loved the America's Choice stuff. Get rid of the clock on the microwave and any other newfangled contraptions they have for these here young'uns ;) Make 'em work for what they have. This shouldn't be a summer of deciding which bikini to wear on any given day. and cast someone over the age of 30 besides Sheila! Finally, very interesting idea to have HOH have a monetary component to it. There might be a lot fewer people throwing the competitions. Or not. But at least it would be an interesting option. |

But the UK way, the last time I saw it, made it illegal in the game to discuss with each other who/whom they are going to tell the DR that they want out. Do it
the UK way, you take out the backstabbing, backbiting, conspiring, etc, that makes BBUS worth watching.

I want them to somehow make eviction days unpredictable. Just having seen Survivor and how many blindsides there were right at the eliminations, I'd like
for that to happen on BB a lot more. Maybe have veto meetings on the live show or perhaps don't even reveal some of the veto winners until the live show?
I'm not sure, but I'd like it to become as unpredictable as possible.
