Country singer accuses radio host of digitally altering her voice
According to MyFox Springfield, country singer Dolly Parton is outraged by the racist and sexually explicit comments aired on Howard Stern's radio show that have been attributed her. She accused the radio shock jock of digitally altering her voice after the singer was broadcast making obscene comments about her fellow musicians, Kenny Rodgers and Linda Ronstadt. Sky News Online reports that Parton is furious and says a recording of her voice has been digitally manipulated.
"I have never been so shocked, hurt and humiliated in all my life," Parton conceded in a statement.
"I cannot believe what Howard Stern has done to me. In a blue million years, I would never have such vulgar things come out of my mouth. They have done some editing or some sort of trickery to make this horrible, horrible thing."
Stern is famous for specializing in using humor which many listeners would call offensive. The Howard Stern Show airs four days a week on Howard 100, part of the Sirius satellite radio chain.
Parton graciously apologized for what was aired but insisted that she had no part to play in the broadcast. She assured fans: "If there was ever going
to be a lawsuit, it's going to be over this. I just wanted you to know that I am completely devastated by this."
