No, he sold almost 700,000 his first week for his first album, the second album was a Christmas one, which maybe sold 1/2 mil the first week (I really
don't remember), the third sold 211,000 the first week, and this one, which is by far his best album to date, sold 94,000, just 100 fewer than Madonna in
her second week. CD sales are on the fritz these days (as I'm sure you well know, CIB), so yes, it's a disappointment, but the album is not. I still
have hope it will have legs - because it truly deserves it as it's a terrific album.
And, give him credit for being in the Top Four all four times out, even with his seasonal album. He may not be a Carrie or Kelly in sales, but he's still in the Top 4 AI sellers, too.

But you should be able to admit that it's not quite as impressive
making the #1 or #4 as the case may be with sales that only a few years ago would've been considered pretty fucking sad. You take what you can get
nowadays for CD sales and just be happy that your favorite is still able to make music for your enjoyment....that's how I look at it anyway...
