David Cook.
I Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith. Another pitchy start. Whoever said his voice sounds "shot" may be on target here. Breathy, too, through the first line. It's passable going into the glory title line. The guitar player steals the stage, perhaps doing David's tired voice a favor. Horribly sharp final note for about 4 beats, until he slid into a pitch that fit the chord. This was certainly an opportunity to hit a home run. I'm not hearing or seeing one. A 6. Randy: For me, I love this song. Just okay for me. Very predictable for me. Paula: This is where the begining, the middle and the end is. Diane Warren here. David! See ya in the finals! Simon: One of the great songs of all time. I have to tell you. David Cook wins the night.

I'm SO not watching the finals if Syesha is not in it. And based on the song they gave her and the undeserved bashing, it looks like that's going to be how it goes, regardless of the voting, but I'll vote as much as I can anyways. I can't watch as Syesha pawns these terrible overrateed karaoke singers and they're praised, while she isn't. Fuck this JOKE of a show! |
