David gasps his way through the first line, which is stilted in spots. He's doing what Paula suggested for Chris's song, notholding the notes long enough. Is the late Mr. Fogelberg rolling in his grave yet? Finally we get to a palatable part, thanks to the backup singers; that's actually quite nice. But he Arch-o-sizes the over-melismized last line, making me wonder what people actually hear who like him.

Randy: So, very interesting song choice. But you can sing the phone book. You're in the zone! Hot! Hot!
Paula: Lovely performance. I expect nothing more. Lovely.
Simon: I think you sang the song well, however, I thought the song and lyrics were absolutely horrible. So gooey! Gooey! Something you choose for a 90-year old, and you're 17. Having said that, I think you've done enough to get to the finals.
