Or in Archuleta's case, what he jumps out and yells during hide and seek.

Top 5 Performances this Season:
1. Jason Castro - "Halleluia" 2. Michael Johns - "It's All Wrong But It's All Right" 3. Syesha Mercado - "Fever" 4. Alexandrea Lushington - "Spinning Wheel" 5. Jason Castro - "I Shot the Sheriff (Fuck You, TPTB)" I really really hate this song and he's laying a giant egg right now. Still not quite as bad or VFTW-worthy as Archtard.

This had better get better fast or else I'm withdrawing my offer to have relations with him

It's better once he got into it, but Cook's lower register didn't sound great at the beginning.

David Cook doesn't really have that strong of a voice. That was pure screech and scream.

Kind of a blah song to pick IMO for Cook.

David Cook.
Dare You To Move by Switchfoot. Should be in his vocal wheelhouse, but it's not, at least not at the start; he's awfully pitchy down there. And he does a stylish thing at the end of the first line that frankly doesn't work. Finally he goes back to being David, vaulting into the title line. But that's a little pitchy, and little too shouty. Doing this kind of a song, a recent hit by an alternative, almost-mainstream group, makes him seem the poseur. And it just sort of ends. Suddenly. A 5. Randy: Performance wise, not your best. A litle pitchy, baby. Paula: I know how hard it is to get a 3 minute song into a minute thirty. You just got to the beginning, and it hit the end of the song. I wanted more. Simon: Not much I can add to that. Not the best melodic song in the world. All 3 of you had an okay middle round. One more round to go. |

I feel like David is playing it safe tonight.
He could have done more. Not a bad peformance, but not a great peformance. Syesha 2 Syesha 1 Cook 2 Cook 1 Archie 1 Archie 2 I wish Simon would have been honest and admitted that Syesha won that round. |

No, Simon. Syesha had an excellent middle round. Cook was vocally really off and Archie was very awkward.
