My guess is that it's either Michael or Ben in the coffin. They are both the only ones who are not part of the 06 who also managed to get off the island
somehow.

wow...once again...Aloha has managed to come up with quite the scoop. good going!
Desmond is still on the boat, with Michael. I'm going to speculate that something happens that the both of them must bond in some sort of way....possibly Michael does something to either save Desmond's life or at least gain Desmond's admiration. I think Desmond goes to the funeral home to pay his respects to Michael. To me..this is exciting...because we know Desmond gets back now. Oh and BTW...Jorge Garcia at his blogsite said that they got done (filming) with season 4...last friday.

It could be Penny. Des goes to pay his respect. She might have died trying to get to Des & even her father doesn't know she's dead.

excuse me for asking a dumb ass question, but i think i've missed something...
why are we all talking about how the island is going to move in 'time'? I know that people can transport off the island, and into a different year, but why are we thinking that the island will move in time? |

My dumbass answer: because Christian told Locke the way to save the island is to move it. Moving it in time or rotating it or levitating it - all spec as to how Locke could possibly accomplish that. I'm the wrong one to answer because I don't know a bleeping thing about moving an island. |

Here's a thought I had this morning, I'm posting it here since it spec and some folks around these parts consider spec to be spoilers.
At the end of "The Economist" Ben told Sayid he had another name for him, but we didn't learn who Ben wanted whacked next. At the end of "Shape of Things to Come" Ben tells Widmore that he's going to kill Penny. How much do you want to bet the name Ben gave to Sayid (that we didn't hear) was Penelope Widmore? |

No way is it Desmond OR Penny in the coffin. Why would Jack be all remorseful about Penny? He doesn't even know her and no way would a Widmore wind up in
some two-bit funeral home. With all that family fortune? Not likely. Of course they need the suspense of Penny having a price on her head, but remember how the
writers have said that one of the main themes of Lost is that it is a love story. I think Penny and Des' story is really the more driving, compelling thing
moving the series forward than the Kate-Jack-Sawyer triangle. I think it will come down to Des somehow saving Penny as one of the happy endings. You know they
aren't going to end Lost on a big downer where everyone remains in existential angst or killed off or in despair with no way out. That just isn't the
overall tone of this whole series. I think we'll get some happy closure on a lot of our favorite characters when it's all said and done.
I know they throw us some good curveballs, but the only people that are universally hated at this point are Ben and Michael. It has to be one of them in the coffin. I mean, I'd be shocked enough if they kill off Ben. He's been so central to EVERYTHING since he showed up in Season 2. That would be a major thing. Michael, not so much, but it would make sense all the same. |

Probably so. I hope his damn tie doesn't change mid-video.
I agree with Pegs that Desmond is NOT in the coffin, but is there to show his respects. I think he will bond to an extent with Michael. I noticed in a finale clip that Desmond is yelling to Michael "I need your help" or something like that. Isn't Desmond back on the beach or at least close to the raft thingy the O6 get on? I think I saw a picture of him in the water. Michael is probably responsible for getting Desmond off the freighter before those assholes kill him. I noticed that Walt and Michael's mother are listed in the credits. Maybe Desmond, Mom and Walt go to the funeral home after Jack was there. At the end of "The Economist" Ben told Sayid he had another name for him, but we didn't learn who Ben wanted whacked next. At the end of "Shape of Things to Come" Ben tells Widmore that he's going to kill Penny. How much do you want to bet the name Ben gave to Sayid (that we didn't hear) was Penelope Widmore?I think you're right. |

I thought it had already been spoiled that the funeral is for Christian? If Des goes to the funeral, that means he, too, gets off the island. Which likely
means the freighter is the ticket home, so to speak. So, the question is, who swears the O6 to secrecy, and why?
BTW, there's also spoilage out there that indicates Sayid attends the funeral, with Nadia. |

TPTB have now said that "the kiss" is spectacular, and "makes the world go away for a moment" or "stops time" or something.
This sounds like a Des/Penny kiss.

LostFan108 gave DarkUFO spoilers for the finale. Dark is going to post part 1 spoilers tomorrow including who is the the coffin (Dark is shocked) and who the
spectacular kiss is between.
Since I don't know either of those 2 things I am planning on not reading them because it will only be hours between his posting them and the show airing. I may read part 2-3 though when he posts them around the 19th. I can't hold out that long. |
