I've been thinking for a while about what my next list was gonna be, and couldn't come up with something. So imagine my surprise when, while
researching Mariah Carey, I ran into an info page about the song "Without You." You know the one. "Can't liiiiiive, if living is without
you, can't liiiiive, can't liiiiive anymoooore". Yeah, that one.
It's pretty much one of the most amazing songs ever. It started off as an overlooked album track on a Badfinger album and went ignored for years until
Harry Nilsson recorded it. The rest is history.
I heard15 covers of this song (I actually heard more but some were shitty quality or just random people singing on youtube). Some good. Some ok. Some
absolutely atrocious. So I decided to post the Top 15 renditions of this song. Hope you enjoy.
15. LEONA LEWIS
For someone being hailed as the next coming of Mariah, Whitney AND Celine,
this bitch sure has a shitty lower register. The first half of the song, which is in a key much too low for her, is breathy, unsupported and barely audible.
And then when she gets into the chorus and can finally belt it and you hope she's gonna knock your socks off she merely raises her volume about 50% and
sings the words with the charisma of a paper weight and all the pain and anguish of Garfield in a field of lasagna. And then, just to make it worse, the judges
give her a much unwarranted tongue bath. NEXT!
