I mean, I know that Rupert is polarizing, but that's a case of "regular" fans loving him, and Sucksters despising him. Ozzy, though, seems to divide many Sucksters. Obviously, I fall in the Ozzy-was-terrible camp. No one has won this game with a strategy consisting of just physical domination. Sure, Brian and Tom dominated their seasons physically, but they also played very political games as well. In fact, people who have done very well in the competition side, racking up nice immunity runs in the post-merge (Kelly, Colby, Kim J., Rob M., Terry, Ozzy) have often come up short. The only bursts of strategy we ever saw from Ozzy were incredibly idiotic (i.e., "We have to throw this challenge and get rid of Billy, because if we don't, we'll probably lose a challenge, and then we'll have to get rid of someone.") For me, he belongs near the bottom (only Dreamz's completely incomprehensible game was worse as far as runners-up go). At least with other runners-up, we saw players who were in the driver's seat but crashed right at toward the end (Colby, Stephenie, maybe Amanda and Kelly), strategized well but were too unlikable (Rob, Twila, Clay, Stephenie, Katie), or at least showed some ability to strategize at points (Lill, Amanda, Danielle, Courtney, maybe Neleh). He's demonstrated a certain level of strategic and social ability too, enough where if he ever makes the finals, he'd likely win. Barring going up against a triple threat finalist like Yul, many individuals have stated that he'd win the game. So unless 1 of the individuals he's chosen to trust like Parvati backstab him and prevent him from reaching the finals, his chances of winning and earning jury respect is quite high. Cirie, the Fans, and just about everyone all felt Ozzy would win had he made the finals. The ability to close alone makes him a stronger runner-up prospect compared to many of the goat runner-ups from the POV of winning. Now, if you're talking about who's the best strategist, who's the best at coming up with plans, etc. then that's different criteria. Amanda would be #1 for most proven outlaster. But she'd be very low on my list in terms of closing, since she's now failed there twice!
