Nothing Yelly ever screeched through counts as "holy crap that was awesome." Maybe "holy crap that was pretty good." The criteria for "awesome" in my mind is the one performance that stands out among a string of "good" performances for being one of the best.

Well Simon said Kelly's rendition of Without You on the F3 results show was the BEST performance of the entire competition... that's holy crap amazing IMO...not to mention her performance of Stuff Like That there is still talked about seven seasons later... Love, you clearly don't like Kelly and that's fine, whatever... shrug no accounting for shitty taste I guess Dictator...I surrender is probably hands down my favorite Kelly performance from Season 1... I get chills even today when I watch it...

Then, of course, you had Constantine's elimination, which was just orgasmic. But, you also had the final 5 elimination where Ryan sent Scott and Anthony to the couch, and Scott thought he was safe (when Anthony clearly realized they were the bottom 2).

Here's a few Holy Crap moments that didn't include people singing either wonderfully OR horribly: . Kelli Pickler- Bohemian Rhapsody- I was stunned when she sang this, and absolutely shocked at her appearance. An amazing moment. She hadn't actually done a great job of singing, but she HAD pulled it off. "My god, she's going to win this," I said to my wife, who agreed (we were wrong). . Kristy Lee Cook- Proud To Be An American- Facing sure elimination after 3 close calls, what recently used successful strategies could Kristy do to save herself? Sing better, like Phil? Sing worse, like Sanjaya? Or disrobe, like Haley? She chose to do none of the above, but tried shamelessly pandering to her audience instead. And much to my disgust, it worked. Bleh. . 4 wild card contestants being told they would NOT be allowed to sing, season 3 semifinals. Still AI's lowest, slimiest moment EVER. . Jordin being made to think she was voted off, season 6 Idol Gives Back special. More sadistic bullshit.
