For those who are still following any sort of number clues from the logo sequence at the end of the commercial, here it is frame-by-frame: I don't think there's anything to go by here, so this clue should be put to rest. Copied from my post on the ABC message boards: Ali is a 24-year-old actress/model from Missouri. She describes herself as adventurous and in shape and is "willing to do whatever to get it done". Her strategies for The Mole include forming a coalition, throwing other players off by using her innocent look as a cover, and using her intuition to weed out truth tellers from backstabbers. My Mole Rating: 7/10 (well spoken, outspoken religious beliefs may form a solid cover) Bobby is a 25-year-old bartender from Pennsylvania. He sees himself as leading a double life by hiding his sexuality, which has helped him become a good liar. He describes himself as charming and out of shape. Bobby is also fluent in Spanish, which he believes will put him one step ahead of his competitors. He has thought over a million strategies in his head but doesn't reveal a single one. My Mole Rating: 3/10 (genuine reaction during execution, doing poorly in a physical challenge due to being out of shape makes a player very suspicious - see Dorothy from Season 2) Mark is a 42-year-old world history teacher and soccer coach from Wisconsin. His strategy is to form multiple coalition (hello Darwin!) and keep his partners in the dark about it. However, he sees himself as a very honest, loyal, and hyper-competitive person who is not playing to make friends, but rather to win. He admits to get tunnel vision during soccer games, which is the opposite of what he must do in The Mole. Mark doesn't like to lie, but in the context of a game, he has no problem with doing it. My Mole Rating: 6/10 (understands the dynamics of a team and how they can crumble, the mole wouldn't want to form multiple coalitions) Nicole is an ageless doctor from Illinois. She claims to be very good at engaging people in conversation and extracting information from them within a short amount of time. She believes people trust their physicians, which is something she can use against others in The Mole. She is most comfortable in distress (thanks to 8 years of med school). Her knowledge of Spanish is limited to medical terminology and basic phrases. No strategy is given, probably because she doesn't need one...as a player. My Mole Rating: 8/10 (smart, says she "added a few more basic [Spanish] words" to her vocabulary just in case, calm under pressure, good candidate for el talpa)

I'm sure to watch! I also saw an advertisement by Paul on Myspace, but I don't recall him using his looks as a selling point. Are the contestants required to help advertise the show or are they doing this just to gain exposure for themselves?

Personally, I find it unfortunate that the producers would decide to bring "professional" help on board the show. Ali and Paul are probably very nice and fabulous people, but didn't we already have acting personalities on Celebrity Mole? Wasn't the whole point of those two series to have larger-than-life professional entertainers show us how entertaining they are to entertain us? My concern is that this show just might be the mutant child of all the previous series - Semi-Celebrity Mole (The Saboteur Follies)

It is an unfortunate circumstance that reality tv shows are now populated with Mactors (Model/Actors). Survivor, BigBro, Amazing Race all were once credible in their selection of real people. But after the first few seasons, they have resorted to the easier task of booking people from L.A. who are represented by an agency. That is not true of all of the contestants, but some seasons of Survivor had only 1 or 2 non-mactor types. edited to add: Just watched a couple of videos and woo hoo our first GAY mole contestant. Absolutely true that gay men and women are great liars and have to learn to be from an early age to hide themselves from the dangers inherent in being out. Go Bobby! And it is good to see a black host, although if he is anything like Amad Rashad, this show will bust. He seems level headed and less flippant than Amad, hopefully more interesting like Anderson. Jim and Jennifer from season 1 were the first gay Mole contestants. Massive disappointment with the presence of mactors. UGH!!!

You're right, I haven't been avidly following reality TV for a number of years so I wasn't aware how prevalent the Mactor factor had become. Now that I know, the Mole seems just a little more drab. Nice way to kill the enthusiasm, producers. In the past, part of these kind of shows appeal is that you think, "Hey, I could do something like this! Look at those people! They're just like me!" But now, I guess, you also need an agency, personal trainer, hollywood connections, etc. to be viable. Thanks for the heads-up. This just might be game-over for me. I don't want to create buzz for contestants who want exactly that. If they want publicity and website hits to further their career then they need to put me on salary.
