I completely agree with Curve31, which is why I was so polite about Jason's weak voice. Basely purely on his singing ability, the judges has no business
picking Jason for the top 24. But he (and Brooke) brought something new and interesting to Idol. They are coffeehouse folkie singers who don't try for
glory notes, but rely on other skills instead. Idol was on diva overlead last season, and a change was needed. I've enjoyed about half of Jason's
performances, and do think he's a worthy member of the top 12. If he had been booted on top 6 night, I would say things had worked out perfectly. He got
past some better singers, but that was their fault, not his. Unfortunately, he WASN'T booted and is now crowding out better people. He outlasted Carly and
may get past Syesha on wednesday as well. Is Jason interesting? Yes. Is he good enough to be in the top 3 or 4? Definitely not.
