Can't we say that her INV/UTR edits point us to the fact that she didn't do well with the jury (if she faces the jury)? We may not get a feel for what her chances are pre-vote, but I think we've got a good clue as to the results post-vote.

They couldn't let viewers know Cirie was told because that would have killed all of the suspense. Cirie was probably told after Cirie promised Amanda that if Erik weren't voting for her she wouldn't.

Editors can't show a scene if it spoils the suspense of the vote so we can't take that as a strike against Cirie. Another thing, it's clear Amanda has votes locked up if she has to face a jury based on logic. Editing on the other hand barely gave her a smidgen of a story in the first half of the season. Therefore, there's a very good chance Amanda gets voted out before F3.

Reason being...they spent a long time explaining how she had no choice and they showed her promising Amanda that she wouldn't be doing this unless forced. They even ended the scene with Cirie offering to tie the vote and Amanda telling her not to. Cirie gets off without guilt.

Warrior, would'nt the edit intent to include such a self explanatory statement be the same as a JP question? The inclusion of any player statements at TC should be counted with the same formula, because the edit decision to include them are the same. IMHO (toothy grin)

Adding 3 points would just make her a stronger 3 anyway.

The upcoming episode is our last chance to prevent her from having the longest outright presence in Survivor history. Certainly the longest presence of anyone who doesn't know the capital of China. **** More wonderful edited irony: Amanda apparently puts her hand up to go to EI; Alexis picks her, apparently as a favor to everyone else; irony works its magic. **** If the upcoming episode is the second-last one, my guideline of eliminating the person edited as likely to win comes into effect. This guideline has worked a treat the past few seasons. Oh, and Parvati and Cirie still ain't winning.

Yes, but apparently it doesn't work at any other stage of the game, other than at F6! That's it! If you want to use it successfully at any other stage of the game, you can forget about it! Of course, Hogeboom's bastardized HII version doesn't count in this analysis.

Alexis- MOR3 Natalie- UTR2 Erik- MOR2(N) James- MOR3P Very enjoyable episode. I yelled BATCHES when Amanad played her idol, and I don't even like Amanda! lol Sorry guys that I've been super busy. My internet at home doesn't work, but after tonight or tomorrow, I'll have my lap top up and running so I should be a tone more active for these last few episodes. I hope Parvati is still our edgic pick. And pleeeeeeeeeeease don't be distracted by Amanda's edit. The late bloomer edit is a sham. Oh, and she has an INV1.

Posts: 889 (05/02/08 6:35 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I noticed a couple of things this episode that may foreshadow Cirie's elimination. -Amanda makes the cut/death sign with her hand to the jurors when Cirie is called to vote (lamb led to slaughter?) -Cirie gets the "taken something from this experience" confessional, which most winners don't get until the Finale.. and she also has changed herself, and the old Cirie had clearly been working. The new Cirie is out of the loop already (portrayed as out of the loop) -Rewarders were fairly ignored -I'm positive that all the girls said "Erik can't win this IC" in their confessionals, yet Cirie got it, and Erik won.. is Cirie's game starting to fall out of place? These aren't doubt, it's subtle manipulation that show that Cirie will eventually lose. I think. Edgically, Amanda cannot win. Logically, she's extremely capable. Amber also had a terrible start. She's eliminated in my book; she's just an underdog now. Let's not let the amazing LividManda thread creat a bias now! Parvati's edit is still great, but her CPs lately have been borderline MOR and her visibility has been quite low. However, she's been shown as thinking about the end game in all her confessionals, and has been hidden by all this late-game distractions, but we all know she's there and that she's playing a good game. A theme for her has been overcoming jury votes, but she has always been shown as thinking about them (which is a good sign, that she's not blindly making enemies) and got a P in my mind this episode by being shown crying for James and sticking by her best girl Amanda, who was also P this episode. Amanda got the distracting, large edit this episode, though, which also serves well for her chances. Winners 1. Parvati 2. Cirie (barely) 3. Amanda (LOGICAL, but edgically eliminated, and will not be on my contenders list) 4 and 5. Fans

Why Natalie threw the game away just to get rid of Jason is baffling -even with her female alliance. And sending Amanda to exhile on Alexis' part- if she sent Natalie and they were real fans they'd bluff their way to the end. These fans are just terrible players -editing simplification or not.

Yay, I was right that the editors were trying to downplay Amanda and Parvati's tightness. :)
