Well, it depends on how it goes tomorrow, but I'm already worried for Jason. He seems to be getting most of the fallout for the Carly boot just because
they called him out last with her, so some of the more fairweather fans may ditch him this week.
Add that the fact that in every single even-number of Idols week there's been an even split of guys and girls, which means for it to hold up a guy would go home this week, and we all know neither David is going anywhere. |

Well, he's getting some - but by no means all - of the fallout because he did, in fact, sing REALLY badly last week. He picked a bad song, worked with a
mentor that didn't like him, got stuck in what was, for him, the Genre From Hell, and he was deathly ill to boot. And he survived. Now he's healthy,
he's working with a genre that fits him much better, and maybe he's figured out that he can't be a Power Diva.
I think he can sing himself out of trouble. If he can't, well, he deserves to go home. It is, after all, the Final Five. This is the year's elite, and you have to be good to survive it. However, I do still think that if Jason sings well, a girl is gone. He's got a stronger fanbase than either of them. If we want to go numerologist, the boy/girl/boy/girl pattern has already been shattered. Add this - of all the season of Idol, we've had an even boy/girl split in the final four exactly ONCE. |

Just wanted to say that we still have to vote tonight no matter what. I think after last week when he was awful/sick/cursed and survived may lead people to
believe that he can survive anything. Not true. Getting comfy could be the kiss of death. End of fantard speech.

Actually its going 2nd that is the kiss of death. In seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, the person who went second during top five week went home. (last year there
wasn't a top 5) Going 1st isn't so bad; Elliott survived a 1st place showing with meh songs his season and he has a similar fanbase, IMHO.
If Jason goes 2nd after being 2nd last week then we will know for sure TPTB hate him. |
