5. Exile Island (Tina, Melinda, Misty, Ruth Marie, Bobby, Dan, Nick, Austin, Sally, Bruce, Courtney, Shane, Cirie, Danielle, Aras) I know Exile Island gets a lot of love, and the fact is that New Casaya was one of the best tribes of all time. The problem is that the New La Mina tribe mainly made the season boring. If you look at the episodes, you'll see boring streaks from 2-4 and 6-9. Granted, once the Pagonging was basically over, the season went into legendary proportions, with Cirie showing just how much of a genius she is, Terry dominating the hell out of challenges, Bruce/Courtney/Shane doing crazy shit, and Danielle and Aras...yeah. That was another problem I had with EI. Going into the final 7, it was 5 good characters, 2 lame. Final 6: 4 good, 2 lame. Final 5: 3 good, 2 lame. Final 4: 2 good, 2 lame. Final 3: 1 good, 2 lame. Final 2: WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO ALL THE AWESOME PEOPLE?! Most disappointing final 2 ever. Had even ONE of the other 5 made the final 2, the season would've been legendary. Also, this season introduced Exile Island, which has been the bane of several seasons since, so I've gotta knock it down for that too. |

4. Survivor: Vanuatu (Brook, Dolly, John P., Mia, Brady, Bubba, Lisa, John K., Rory, Sarge, Chad, Leann, Ami, Julie, Eliza, Scout, Twila, Chris) Vanuatu is like the reverse of the past two seasons. It had a really crappy beginning (probably what made it such a bad season in the eyes of the mainstream public), but it also had a great post-merge. As I mentioned before, everyone who made the merge (except Leann) is in my top 100 favorite Survivor players, so things really worked out well there. It had some great drama and perhaps the greatest underdog story of all time. Watching the women implode was hilarious, especially since it came at the hands of crazy Eliza. Chris is one of the most entertaining winners of all time, and it's so awesome how a guy like him (red-neckish) won a season that was so heavily tilted in the women's favor (Only two women who might actually consider flirting with the guys out of a group of nine, the opening ceremony designed to piss the women off). It was a great ending that couldn't have gone any better. |

EI was only great in comparison to the S9-S11 mactor/bloatedness. Against the pre-ASS seasons, I dunno man.

I loved Vanuatu. I was pleasantly surprised watching it for the first time after finding out it was viewed as one of the worst seasons here.

3. Survivor: Marquesas (Peter, Patricia, Hunter, Sarah, Gabriel, Gina, Rob, John, Zoe, Tammy, Robert, Sean, Paschal, Kathy, Neleh, Vecepia) Marquesas was the first season where things were really up in the air in terms of who would be going home. For the first three seasons, there was some backstabbing, but for the most part, it was a pretty clean game. You stick with one alliance and don't betray until the other team is gone entirely. Marquesas flipped that on its head completely. Starting with the elimination of arguably the strongest guy on the show in episode THREE, Marquesas became a VERY interesting season. There was a tribe swap which put three of the biggest schemers on the Rotu love tribe. And those schemers did their part in helping take out the most likable cast member, who turned his own tribe against him for not being cutthroat enough. The merge ended up resulting in the first ever reversal of power as the Rotu 4 were taken down by the underdogs. The final two episodes were crazy and action-packed, and resulted in the third-best winner of all time. If it weren't for the overall bitterness and spitefulness of the jury, Marquesas could've been in the top two for me. |

Cool fact: Marquesas was the first season I watched from start to finish on TV. For that, it'll always hold a special place in my heart. <3

Vecepia is definitely one of the 15 best winners (16 in the next few weeks <3).
I love Marquesas, but I never really got the excitement over the downfall of the Rotu four. I mean, I was excited because I hate them (except Tammy <3), but it wasn't all that different from the past pagongings. OMG, this time the pagongers are from two different tribes!!1!1! Once John left, you knew what you were in for the next 3 weeks, and I didn't find John's boot shocking in the first place. But like I said, it's probably a top 4 or 5 season for me. |

The fall of Queen Stephenie post-merge was certainly a big factor in my enjoyment of the season, making up at least somewhat for the
fact that my fave, who was brutally backstabbed by the Queen herself didn't win.
