Maybe they just used the past episode to eventual explain Natalie's vote for Parvati because she Natalie took pleasure in blindsiding Jason, which is minor leagues compared to Parvati screwing over a game long alliance mate who admittedly saved her in the game a couple of times. Natalie is a wannabe, and was so over-the-top about it it was pathetic.
Maybe it's to explain why Amanda/Cirie would keep Natalie over Alexis, even though Alexis is injured. I'd much rather face Natalie in the jury than
Alexis.
