Romber Rulz, you know I <3 you, BUT STOP CLICKIN' THE FUCKING NEW TOPIC BUTTON.
With that said, none of these contestants are even worthy of licking Carrie's snatch. She'd blow all of these fuckers out of the water so bad that it aint funny. |

I doubt anyone coming from this show will ever top Kelly or Carrie success.
But, comparing Idol performances during their seasons,Kelly is the best all around Idol winner.
And Kelly will be the only idol to EVER sing for The Pope.

When Carrie releases a new CD there is no question that she will pass Kelly. |

I don't believe Carrie and Kelly are the only 2 successful ones to come from idol. If they are around in 10-15 years selling 5 million and drawing crowds
at concerts, then yeah, but I believe every one of the kids coming from idol has had success one way or another. Some don't want to lick Clive's ass
and others do. Some like to do their own thing and others like to be told what to record. I've enjoyed quite a few kids from the show, which will include
David Cook and Jason from this year.

Fat Piggy Bitch wrote: I didn't mention My December because then the carrie fans would bitch that of course Kelly is higher in sales cuz she has 3 albums while Carrie has two...so I kept it to the first two for both. pssstt My December was certified platinum dumbass Carrie and Kelly are the two most successful graduates of this show and I doubt seriously they will ever find anyone who can top them although Daughtry is pretty damn successful with almost 4 million sold of his debut in the U.S. eta: I actually agree with Who...there are several success stories from Idol... there is an Oscar winner, two grammy winners, numerous multiplatinum selling artists, several stars on Broadway, a couple with success on television as well, etc. Success isn't always measured by how much one can sell....

Some of the most successful and talented artists in music have never won a grammy...it's not really a measuring stick of talent or success... but neither are sales IMO... I only jumped into the debate because of the comment about no other idol matching Carrie's sales...that is factually untrue.... |

Kelly's fantards and Carrie's fantards or is there some article written about it. And please, for the love of God, do not bring numbers of albums sold and shit over here to prove a point. I just simply disagree. |

The music industry and its accolades are based on "politics," nothing more... nothing less.
Modern day "payola" is alive and well, which is one reason the Idol machine has so much pull. (of course, it helps that one of their own has the most popular radio show in one of the most powerful cities in our country, as well as MANY connections in the other powerful cities.) That's not even considering the media coverage that the FOX machine entitles them to. I just want the show to go away so that music can go back to being GOOD. |

This is a useless debate, but I have a suggestion. Since everyone has an opinion on who's the greatest or most successful idol, anyone who is going to the
trouble of claiming their idol to be the greatest or most successful to be specific & define exactly what you mean. IOW to list the criteria that were used
(i.e your definition of greatest). That way we can see where you're coming from, & if we choose, perhaps even debate you on that basis. Of course, if
you're going to factor in several factors, then explain how important each one is.

Bucky Covington is the greatest Idol ever. He parlayed very little respect and pimping from the show along with an only moderate fanbase and an 8th place finish into quite a surprisingly successful country career. His album is one of the best from the Idol crop so far. Why? Because I like it and my opinion means more to me than anyone. He also got his absurdly jacked teef fixed and is redneck romping rampage hot and do-able. And he has great hair. And he enunciates now. And I <3 him long time. Na na na na boo boo. The end. |
