If they are around in 10-15 years selling 5 million and drawing crowds at concerts, then yeah, but I believe every one of the kids coming from idol has had success one way or another. Some don't want to lick Clive's ass and others do. Some like to do their own thing and others like to be told what to record. I've enjoyed quite a few kids from the show, which will include David Cook and Jason from this year.

Carrie and Kelly are the two most successful graduates of this show and I doubt seriously they will ever find anyone who can top them although Daughtry is pretty damn successful with almost 4 million sold of his debut in the U.S. eta: I actually agree with Who...there are several success stories from Idol... there is an Oscar winner, two grammy winners, numerous multiplatinum selling artists, several stars on Broadway, a couple with success on television as well, etc. Success isn't always measured by how much one can sell.... Modern day "payola" is alive and well, which is one reason the Idol machine has so much pull. (of course, it helps that one of their own has the most popular radio show in one of the most powerful cities in our country, as well as MANY connections in the other powerful cities.) That's not even considering the media coverage that the FOX machine entitles them to. I just want the show to go away so that music can go back to being GOOD.
