I just started listening to all the studio recordings today, cause I was looking for Somewhere Over The Rainbow
And oddly enough, after listening to most of them, my favorite in all the week's so far was Chikezie's I've Just Seen a Face. It was incredible, it gives me a whole lot more respect for a guy I was just meh about. I highly recommend it Billie Jean was amazing as well, and Travelin Thru

WTF can't itunes get this crap up sooner? And why can some people get it before others? Urgh.
Ok, nevermind. I can buy but not preview. Whatever itunes I bought Jason's and Kristy's. They're OK. Might buy Cook's later.

Top 7 studio versions
David Cook - Still don't like his arrangement of the song or the way he sings it (at least I'm consistent) Jason Castro - Still like this arrangement a lot, and his voice sounds nicer than last night Kristy Lee Cook - I like her country-fried version of this song, and I still think it was a good choice for her David Archuleta - His lower range sounded breathy, but his upper range sounded pretty Carly Smithson - I don't like the arrangement of the studio version or the way she sang it Syesha Mercado - That is one repetitive song, but she sings the heck out of it Brooke White - Where's the piano? It's acoustic guitar most of the time, which sounds a million times better. She should've played the guitar last night. |

DAVID COOK OWNAGE!11
I love, love, love the studio version of "Always Be My Baby." This makes me want a CD from him so bad. I can't wait for him to put his CD out. The live version is still wonderful but he's going to sound awesome on CD too. |

Just listened to David C & Castro's they're both AWESOME!
Haven't bothered with the rest. I might check out Kristy's later, but I'm running late right now. |

David Cook - Still don't like his arrangement of the song or the way he sings it (at least I'm consistent) I really liked the arrangement (never heard Mariah's original version), but I thought the singing was rough in the first half of the live performance. He just sounded a bit off that night (understandable, though). I kinda love the studio version. Listening to that, and thinking about his style of singing in general, I hope he'll hook up with a good voice coach, if he doesn't already have one he can call upon. Boy's got an instrument worth preserving. |

David Cook's "Music of the Night" is the #1 download for this week's studio recordings. David Archuleta's "Think of Me" is at #2 and Carly Smithson's "Superstar" is at #3. David Cook's "Always Be My Baby" is still the #1 download today for all the American Idol 7 recordings. Showing weakness in the overall iTunes charts (probably because of the Broadway showtune theme), "Always Be My Baby" is at #12 and "Music of the Night" is at #15. It's possible for David Cook to push "Music of the Night" into the Top 10, but I don't see it going any further. Daily "Morning After" Top 6: 1. David Cook -
"Music of the Night"
1. David Cook - "Always Be My Baby"
American Idol vs. iTunes Top 20: 12. David Cook - "Always Be My Baby" 15. David Cook - "Music of the Night"
