That was the first Jason performance I've completely and totally hated. But I hope he's not out, I don't need to hear him singing that ever again.
I'm sure he feels the same way.

Jason Castro is the only person remaining in the competition that I genuinely like, as a musician, as a contestant, and as a human being. David Cook is
becoming the most overrated hack that Idol has ever produced, Syesha Mercado can't hold a candle to the black divas of seasons past, David Archuleta is so
annoying, Carly Shitson is an all-around lying bitch par excellence, and Brooke White is bland as they come. I haven't seen tonight's episode, but from
what I've read, he did poorly. However, I do think that he should continue on.

I'm sad to hear that he sucked tonight. He's 4th on dialidol, so MAYBE he has a chance to stay...I really think he needed a great performance though. |

I didn't think it was that bad. I saw it on tv and have relistened twice on YouTube. Yes, it's not his genre but I thought he looked like he was
showing emotion. It was definitely not horrid or a trainwreck. I do think there must have been a song he could have done much better, so I don't know why
he would fight for that one (if that is the case).
I've been getting through every time on my phone but I usually don't have any problem so I can't judge from that. Still dialing! Thanks latingrl for posting the article on the previous page. :-) Jason <3 |

I posted this in the rate thread, but it was just odd hearing him singing lines like "I used to be beautiful once". That really might go down as one
of the worst performances in AI history when the dust has settled, and I'm saying that as a big Jason fan.

Jason's my favorite this season, but that was just a horrific song choice for him
 Beyond his range, and the lyrics made no sense for a 20 year old
pretty boy. There were so many better options. I'm not a big ALW fan, but offhand, even Day By Day (which doesn't piss some people off like JCS does,
which is poor Carly's problem this week), or any of the Joseph songs from Dreamcoat, or one of the groovier options from Cats would have been way better.
I hope he survives this.

I just saw it...bad, but not as bad as Michelle for me. The dramatic side lighting was really awful so he didn't even LOOK pretty...
Bonus points for the "I didn't know a CAT sang it" line though. That cracked me up! |

I didn't hate it. I tried to listen to the song and think of how he has sung all of his other songs. He kind of sang it exactly like all of his other
song choices, so I thought it fit him. If I compare it to the original, it sucked.
