I'm just going to start assuming she's going every week until she goes; maybe it's a good luck charm for her. But really, it's probably not,
since she's probably going home this week. :p

I like the potato's performance. It was fun, and she was more relaxed than usual. Some parts were too high for her but overall it was pretty good. The
Simon Loves Me t-shirt was cute.
It sucks that she's at the bottom of DI when Psycho Nanny and Castro stank up the joint. |

I was one of the few people who predicted Carly would be safe last week, and I think so again this week. Covering up the tattoo and getting rid of the Morticia
Addams eye makeup has allowed people to hear (and like) her voice without any needless distractions. If anything, she is gaining momentum. And DialIdol sucks.
They have been completely wrong the past 2 weeks. They had Michael Johns in 6th place (out of 8) and KKKristy in 4th place (out of 7). The bottom 2 this week
WILL be Brooke and Jason.

I could have done without the tshirt thing last night. Simon laughed, but I'm sure a lot of the viewers didn't like it. I think she should stay over a
few others still remaining, but we already know that.

In Carly's defense, are there really any songs in existence with that narrow a range? |

I was so thrilled when I heard that ALW would be featured, then I worried that someone would fuck up my most favorite muscial of all time. Carly was good. Personally didn't like some of the stuff she did vocally with the song, as no one can compare to Carl Anderson, or Murray Head, but it was still good. Was really hoping that David Cook would do Gethsemane, but it was not to be. I really thought that ALW did a good job as a mentor. Good constructive advice. |

but I'm sure a lot of the viewers didn't like it.At this point any viewers who really didn't like it probably don't like her and wouldn't vote for her anyway and it's just another reason for them to hate her. I don't think anyone who enjoys her voice or enjoyed the performance would have looked at that and said "oh, now I won't vote for her." |

Jesus Christ Superstar has been my favorite performance of Carly's to date. I thought she was wonderful. She should have dressed up as an angel though...
to get the full effect.

Good point, SHC. I'm sure Drew wasn't gonna pick up the phone to vote and then decided that the tshirt stunt ruined everything!!1!
If she goes tonight, the only bright spot I can see is that it'll be considered a "rob" job because two people gave far worse performances than she did (hell, I'd even say three and include Archtard in that). |

I would say they all were worse than her. She was the only one who wasn't boring. She turned a boring ballad into an upbeat pop hit and she reminded me of
when Fantasia use to rock the stage each week. Her performance and presence was amazing.

Everyone except Carly and Cook were excruciating for me to sit through, I swear I wanted to impale myself while Jason was singing. Anyone of the other 4
deserve to get the boot.
That said at this point I know Carly won't win and every week I think she's going home so I'll just keep on thinking that. Then if she stays tonight I can be happy for her again. |

She turned a boring ballad into an upbeat pop hit Jesus Christ Superstar (the song) is not a ballad. It is an uptempo, dancing, grooving song at the end of the musical. It really rocks. Watch the link on the previous page of Carl Anderson, I wish she had really rocked it out more! |

seaguy wrote: Babe, Cook is actually my second favorite. Not that it's saying much with the shit contestants left. I thought Carly was way better because she made it
her own and Cook did a theatric imitation of the song.

Watch the link on the previous page of Carl Anderson, I wish she had really rocked it out more!I have seen so many redentions of it done so slow and boring. First that comes to mind was Laura on Grease (she was the faux Sandy wannabee that won). It was horrid because it wasn't uptempo and upbeat enough. |
