How old is Ramona? I cant find it anywhere. If she is 52 or older she looks good. If she is in her 40's Im really not that impressed. It is possible to not
have any wrinkles on your face and be late 40's without using botox or "creams" ---It's called sunscreen.

Another great part was Jill making her daughter work and how money doesnt drop out of the sky. That was one redeeming characteristic of Jill.
I dont know how anyone can "like" or "hate" any of these women. They are all on the show to validate themselves -- I think this and I think that and I do this and I do that because yadda yadda yadda....and I arent I great for thinking this or doing this? In my opinion they all have their good qualities and they all have their flaws-- like anyone else. There is nothing particularly special about any of them - are we watching this because they have money? yes - this is what makes them special Do you think 5 middle-age middle class housewives in suburbia could be just as interesting/catty/annoying and into themselves and their kids and how great their lives are? I think possibly you could take any 5 women and make a show like this about their lives and we might be as spellbound. We are all really pathetic. |

I think Jill said she wanted to make it a family affair. So, in that respect I can see why they brought the little darlings.
It is funny, but I remember as a kid my mom and dad believed that we needed to learn how to behave in public from in early age. Now, they had the sense not to bring us out after bed time and I am thinking for toddlers a dinner that does not start till 7 (because of Ramona's' tardiness) is not a good idea at all. My mom is now a grandmother and literally she is all sweetness and light now, but this is NOT the woman I grew up with. She has morphed into a woman I have never met before. When we were kids and would be in any social setting all we would have to do is look at my mom and she would make this face that would send the fear of god into us. It was this tight smile mixed with a stealthy expression. She gave Joan Crawford a run for her money. If you pushed your luck my mom would excuse herself and whatever child was misbehaving and say she needed to use the restroom. NO good ever came out of the use of the rest room. She never hit, but she would just let you know she was getting annoyed and that was it. Now, this same woman allows my nephews to tear the house apart. She actually scolds my sister for being to strict and not giving the kids enough room for personal growth. I watched last night episode with her and she looked at how Francois was behaving and the first thing from her mouth was how she felt he needed to be excused and brought to the restroom. It was good to see the tiger still had it in her. Alex and Simon seems so concerned with believing that their kids are superior, but in reality they are fresh, rambunctious, normal kids. That's all. As for Ramona, she is just too high strung. And though most of her comments about the kids were spot on it is too bad she has no tact and does not realize that she has no business voicing these opinions during a dinner. She is the least classy of them all. I enjoy Bethany in small doses. She loves to egg people on and then sit back and judge. Also, she had no business being so harsh to Jill. I think Bethany's boyfriend does love her, but he is man with children and he knows this is probably not going to work out. He should run now. The Countess is fun. I am sure her marriage is all but non-existent. He is a much older man with kids that could be his grandchildren. I am sure he allows her to lead the life she likes and she allows him the freedom to do the same. They will probably stay married till he dies, but spend as little time together as possible. I love Jill. I love Bobby. And even the daughter is cute. No bad words for Jill. She rocks and I would love her to be my friend. |

I couldn't stop obsessing over the behemoth bags under Francois's eyes. I know that bags under the eyes can be a hereditary trait (they run in my
family too), and Simon has pretty bad ones so it would make sense that that trait would be passed on, but I have never seen a three year old with bags
like THAT. Even if it's hereditary, usually they don't become that painfully apparent until later in life. There has to be something wrong there. Poor
kid.
I like Luann but thought she needed to maybe listen to the housekeeper and spend more time with her kids. And what is most shocking to me is that her 12 yr old daughter, and I only say this because I have a 12 yr old daughter, had a boy over, whom Luann suspected of already sharing a kiss, etc. I bet they are sharing more than that. She might want to stick around a little more. ITA. I wonder what her daughter's reaction was when she heard that comment. Considering that she's 12, she probably just finds it hilarious how out of touch her mom is. |

Sitting at home recovering from surgery and watched a marathon of this show. The thing that gets me is Francois and Johan. First, why not have those names be
their first middle name, kids are cruel and they are going to get so harrassed when they get older. Secondly, Alex can use adjectives such as
"obstreperous" to describe her kids, but they are just unruly brats. It would seem that with how important certain aspects of child rearing are to
them that manners and how to behave might rate a bit higher on the scale. I have kids the exact same age and I would never bring them to a nice dinner, I
would get a sitter. If I did bring them, I would control them and not let them run around mutilating other guests food and screaming. It could be editing,
but that type of behavior is unacceptable.

Hooray for another season!
I don't know why, but I really liked this show. I watched about 10 minutes of the OC wives and shut it off, perhaps because I'm originally from OC and I'm disgusted by those bitches. At least the NY wives have a society to aspire to, what society is in OC? I can't wait until the reunion. |

letting that kid mutilate someone else's dinner was the epitome of crass. Those two are so fucking fake. They had a better chance of being socially
mobile if they hadn't gone on the show. Now everybody's seen their Section 8 house and knows their agenda.
and FIX THOSE TEETH. |

So phony. In real life, these babes wouldn't socialize, but they make them for TV. They were CAST for these roles, and then scripted into events, parties,
etc.
Bethany and Jill are Jewish- so they bond. The Countess seems like she's totally WASP, so she's out of the loop. Ramona and Alex are goy and crazy. In real life, for instance, the Jewish women would have all Jewish friends and hang together. But who would watch that? |

Bethany cries, Ramona walks off. Too funny. |

Holy Inappropriate!! I just watched this episode. If that little Frankie was playing with my food and screaming like that I would backhand him and remove him
from the restaurant. Bethenny was right, why teach him to translate Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star into Latin when he has no table manners or an
"indoor" voice?

Let's get this straight. Francois vandalized Jason's $30 burger. I would've backhanded the kid the moment he got near it. No way that
wasn't set up. I can totally see the producers saying don't worry Jason, we'll get you another burger. Let the kid go!

What was stupid about that was, why didn't Jason just not let him do that.
He has kids. He knows they can be annoying sometimes. |

I know that $30 might not be much to them, but it's obviously a special burger that Bethenney ordered for him because it's his favorite. Even if it
wasn't, I still maintain that I would have swiped the kid away if he got his grubby paws anywhere near my food.

And don't knock the co-op boards -- they keep out the undesirables, and reason why all the better buildings are co-ops. ;) |

mikejuno1 wrote: We have the same mom! My mom would give us that same look. And if that wasn't good enough, then she'd strong arm you into the bathroom or outside. And if that wasn't good enough.. then you got.. *gulp*.. the Never-Ending Lecture from Hell. You absolutely did not want that. Oh my god, no. Because the lecture in the bathroom was just the tip of the iceberg. You still weren't off the hook after leaving the bathroom because, next, you were stuck having to stay near mom all the rest of the night and every chance she got, when the other guests were far enough away not to overhear, she would glance disdainfully at you and mutter how, because of your behavior, she's never felt so utterly ashamed in all of her life. And that still wasn't the end of it. The lecture would come back when you least expected it, resurrected to attack you like Jason in the Friday the 13th movies. Because for the next several days after the event was over, if you happened to walk by while she was talking to your father or to one of your siblings, she suddenly somehow managed to find a way to sarcastically mention your horrible behavior at the party. We kids used to say we'd rather she went back to just spanking us because at least that was over right away.I watched last night episode with her and she looked at how Francois was behaving and the first thing from her mouth was how she felt he needed to be excused and brought to the restroom. It was good to see the tiger still had it in her.hehehee.. good for her! Alex and Simon seems so concerned with believing that their kids are superior, but in reality they are fresh, rambunctious, normal kids. That's all.Yet why aren't they just as concerned about the kids behaving properly? I think it was dumb on their part to take the kids to such a fancy dress dinner at such a young age. But if one insists on doing so, then you damn well better keep an eye on the kids and keep control of them. That they were sitting on the floor under the table, okay, that's embarrassing but normal for that age. Expect they might do something like that, watch for it and give 'em a quick finger-shaking lecture as soon as you see them do it. Now, granted, the kids only did it because they're bored. It's an adult party, there's not much (if anything) for kids of that age to do. No games to play, no other kids to play with. So of course they're going to get fidgety and so forth. But their behavior is still the parents' responsibility. So if they can't behave like little ladies and gentlemen for four hours into the late evening (and that's a helluva lot to expect from a kid that young) then don't bring them. When started Francois started his top o' the lungs SCREAMing, again, it was something they should've addressed right away. Maybe they missed that the kids sat on the floor under table but there's no way they could have missed the scream. That was their clue that things were just going to get worse and they did nothing about it. And sure enough things did get worse, because next thing you know, there's Francois with the brat-gear in overdrive destroying someone else's food. And what does dad do or say? He shrugs it off with some pathetic BS about "oh, you're a father, right? You know how kids are." What kind of crap is that? Can you imagine your mom just standing idly by and putting up with you doing that? Lord, no! She would've grabbed you by the arm, signaled to your dad through gritted teeth "we're leaving right now!!", smiled sweetly at the host, said thank you for a lovely evening then dragged your butt outta there and headed for home. And heaven help you survive her lecture during the car trip home. It makes you wonder just how bad would Francois have to behave before mom or dad finally get off their snobby pretentious asses and DO something? |

I'm so sad it's over. I have A&S even more now. those kids didn't belong there and they were disgusting. I guess those private rooms are soundproof, no? Mario is a doll. I wonder if next season shows us Ramona having to practice what she's preaches about financial independence, cause hunky mario has got fed up with that raging whormone of a wife and he got the hell out of there along with the normal kid. sigh - one can only hope. |

Does anyone have the second to last episode Tivo'd or recorded in anyway? Can you slow down any of the scenes with Ramona and study her left hand? The
second time I caught that episode, I swear, it looked to me like she wasn't wearing her wedding ring when she went to that "most eligible
bachelor's" dance. She *was* wearing a ring on that hand but it was some gi-normous ugly costume-y thing which was on her *middle* finger, not her
ring finger. And there were no other rings on that hand. You can see it somewhat clearly when she and her friend go to get botox'd. Just before they walk
in, you can see Ramona's left hand and she's only wearing the ugly costume-jewelry ring and no other rings. But she was back to wearing her wedding
ring for the last episode.
Things that make you go "hmmmm.." I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if one day Mario finally gets tired of her antics. re: the $30 burger. Does it *really* matter if it cost $30? Even if it was $2 burger from MickyD's or a homemade pan-fried burger, it's still someone else's food. And, no, you probably would not backhand or swat someone else's kid (what!? Are you kidding? And risk them lawyering up and suing you?) especially not at a very nice, very expensive restaurant. Because that just makes *you* look like trailer trash. About the only thing you could probably do is stand up, take the plate away, hand it to a waiter, say you're "done" (after the kid has crawled all over the floor then put his hands & toy all over your food, no doubt you're "done" with it) and moved away to somewhere else. I wonder what the child psychologist thought of Francois? I've heard those interviews can be wickedly picky over the tiniest thing.
