I thought Carly did really well last night! Without you is a very difficult song requiring a lot of range. I do think she tends to get screechy when she
tries to belt but that could be from not enough vocal training and it could be fixed IMO. Her voice isn't as clear as others, it's kind of gritty and
raw but I like that.
IMO it doesn't matter what she sings or how she sings it, Simon will never give her credit because he sees her as a failure waiting to happen for AI. I
think in his mind she's already proven that she can't sell records and his fear is that if she wins the same thing will happen all over again and while
he claims to not care about sales, he gets a slice of the pie so fuck yes he cares!
