1. David Cook - I'm in love. That's all.
2. Porkchop - Quite a pretty vocal. Boring as ever. HATE. 3. Jason - First half of the song was the best he ever sounded to me. Chorus was whiny and breathy. 4. Kristy - Not as good as last week. 5. Screamesha - Left me completely cold. 6. Carly - Sounded good in her lower register. Screechy once she hit the high notes. 7. Brooke - Flat. Bland. Boring. B. Brooke H. Brooke G. Carly |

Heart: Kristy Gut: Carly 1. David Cook 2. Syesha - better than usual - I would be pissed if she went home on this song. (she has been in my bottom 3 for a long time though) 3. Jason Castro - not my favorite, but okay 4. Kristy Lee -not as good a last 2 weeks 5. Brooke - average - not her best 6. David A - average - not his best 7. Carly - better than usual

2. Syesha - Good vocals, great song choice, best "traditional" version of a Mariah 3. D. Cook - great arrangement (perhaps best of AI), horrific vocals 5. Carly & Kristy - mediocrity at it's finest 6. Brooke- Brooke called the front desk and checked out. It was rushed and manic. 7. Porkchop - traditional arrangement and glory noted the last half of the song. blah. B: Carly, Brooke, Syesha - Syesha out H: Porkchop, Kristy, Carly - bland blonde or satan's spawn G: Carly, Brooke, Syesher - Syesha gone |

All in all a weak night. This year's competition is starting to look as lackluster as last year's, with no real break-out star.
1. Syesha - solid performance, complete with her "Star Search"-hit-that-note-and-hold-it moment 2. Kristy Lee - I'm shocked, but the big notes were good; the low notes, however, were not; she's the only one who seems to be improving in recent weeks (granted, she did have a lot of room to improve) 3. Breathy Manboy - only because it was a solid, clean performance but enough with the boring ballads already! 4. Dreds - musak. blech. 5. Rocker Dude - despite all the judge over-pimpage, I didn't feel it; a miss for a second week in a row; Is it really a big risk if he does the same damn thing every week??!?!! A true risk would have been for him to sing Mariah AS Mariah would! 6. Brooke - nice start, but mistakes on the piano towards the end threw her off and made for an uncomfortable finish (thanks partly to the EXTREME close-up of her nervous face by the cameraman - nice job, producers.) 7. Carly - yet another play-it-too-safe performance; she has the best voice in the competition but you'd never know it with the crap she chooses to throw at us. Go home! Brain: Carly, Brooke, Rocker Dude Heart: Dreds, Rocker Dude, Carly - although I really have stopped caring and will be happy regardless of who goes Gut: Carly, Syesha, Brooke
