I have to admit that the last two days of story were quite riviting. Especially today with Robin and Patrick. Having Patrick tell her to stop thinking as a
soon-to-be mother and think as a doctor and deal with having to tell Carly and Sonny the truth about Michael's condition was excellent writing and
excellent drama. While I do not condone the act of a child being shot, it is a logical, if tragic, consequence to the constant mob violence on the show. I
predict that we are going to see some of the best acting we have seen in years from the repercussion of this storyline. It is a risky story but, if told
correctly, could be the best storyline this show has attempted in years.

Don't get me wrong, Michael getting shot is good, and it will influence a lot of storylines for quite a while. For instance, I
totally see Carly bringing Sonny to court to have his visitation revoked. But I'd really like to see this article:
GH Writer Addresses We were all set to change Jason's life (and the lives of everyone around him) forever by having him lose the use of his hands. No longer able to work for Sonny, we would have witnessed his being completely stripped down and rebuilt into an entirely new character with a lot of baggage in tow, which would have resulted in multiple interesting storylines. This seemed brilliant at first, but then we thought, "Why ruin a good thing? We've been nursing at the mob teat for so long, and it's always paid off." So instead we decided to insult our viewers' intelligence by having him go to Seattle for two days and come home with wrist braces, hoping they wouldn't remember that his fingers were hanging on by threads only days before. After he returned to Port Charles, we decided that some people might not be buying the quick recovery, so we sent him back to Seattle for another two days. That should have been long enough for the bones and skin to heal; right? |

Permanent Coma - YES!!!

There won't be any "permanent coma"! Michael will lay in a coma for several weeks/months and then "miraculously" revive in the body of
an older actor - probably late teen, early 20's. Watch and wait - this will happen! (just my 2 cents and prediction)

As long as the "older actor" doesn't become one of Lulu's endless moron admirers. Why does this show takes every 20-something hot guy (yes, including Spinelli) and makes them pant after Lulu? On that note....loved, loved, loved Kate calling out Lulu for the spoiled little brat she is today. 'Bout damn time! |

So glad someone put Lulu in her place! Kate was wonderful! They need to hook up Johnny with Maxie. That would be delicious. Not only would they make a fun couple, but Lulu would lose out to Maxie. Hopefully, Lulu would be devastated by it and turn to Logan, who would tell her to hit the road because he's sick of her waffling affections. Doubly devastated, she would turn to Spinelli, who would also turn her down, explaining that she was right all along: They can only be friends. Thus leaving Lulu all alone and miserable, exactly where she deserves to be. |

Sometimes I just don't get it. We finally get a fresh face, a back story rich with possibilities and chemistry with one of General Hospital's leading men that was catalytic enough to melt his otherwise icy heart and then they ship the character in question off to where she came from. In this case, it's Martha's Vineyard and the fresh face I'm referring to is that of Yeniffer Behrens, who played Ric's lover Marianna. "I thought my time on GH was going to be short but not this short! They made Marianna and Ric really connect in spite of how they met. She really did fall in love. It's sad. I've been really sad about it. I fell in love with her, the story, Ric and wanted to stay longer," Yeniffer told me when we spoke last week. (She had just dropped her seven year-old son off at school and we chatted during her entire commute back to her house.) It seems to me that the writers left the field wide open for Marianna to return and revisit her relationship with Ric, and I told her so. I reminded Yeniffer that at one point Marianna briefly mentioned her troubled childhood in Venezuela and then I proceeded to fill her in on the Luis and Lorenzo Alcazar's Venezuelan background, which she was unaware of. Frankly, I thought that was clearly where the story was going - especially since they brought her onto the canvas during Diego's return. Yeniffer was happy to hear my theory. "From your lips to God's ear," she said and then quickly laughed and corrected her self, "To Bob Guza's ear!" She told me that she's been surprised to receive so much fan mail and a lot of it keeps reaffirming the same kind of thing. The general consensus is that Marianna was a "breath of fresh air." I couldn't agree more. As for her fellow cast mates on General Hospital,Yeniffer had plenty to say. She felt as if she was a part of the GH family right away. She mentioned that Maurice (Sonny) is really sweet, as was Sebastian (Jerry). Also on her list of great people to work with is Stephen Macht (Trevor). "He was completely mean to Marianna, yet as soon as the scene was cut we just started playing around. He's such a family guy, so sweet and so funny." When I asked her about her leading man, Yeniffer caught herself gushing about what "a dreamboat" Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing) is. She added, "He is a well-rounded person, very rich and full, and really lives his life with his heart, passionately. I admire him for that. He was very open with me on a very professional level." (To read more about Rick, go here: Rick Hearst's Charities.)

Brown is great, I would love to have had a scene with her. Especially after she went to visit Ric. It could've been a great cat fight, like 'What are you trying to do with my man!' you know?" The more we talked, the more excited we both became at the thought of GH resurrecting her character at some point in the not too distant future. As an actor, Yeniffer keeps pretty busy, so we'd better act soon! She's already working on Will Smith's next movie, "Seven Pounds". Her agents have their feelers out and she actively keeps herself involved in meeting casting directors, directors and attending film festivals. She has recently completed two indy films in Mexico and eagerly awaits what is next for her. I suggest get busy and let ABC know that we enjoy the softer side of Ric and that won't stick around long without his muse! You can express your opinions at General Hospital, c/o ABC-TV, 4151 Prospect Avenue, Hollywood, CA 90027. Yeniffer not only agreed to keep in touch with Soaps.com, she's going to do a live chat on our GH Message Board on Thursday, April 10 at 2:00 EST. Be sure to show up and ask your own questions. I'm sure that you'll find her as open and friendly as I did. Thank you Yeniffer! |

So... getting shot has made Kate an authority on everything? WTF is that about? She tells Carly she's being selfish for yelling at Sonny while their child
is in a coma. (EEEEEEEE! The gods of soaps heard me!) Then she tells Lulu off, not that I minded that rant. She rips into Mike like she's got some deep
seeded grudge against him from a long-ago offense. And for a finale, tells Carly that she's sorry about the first argument, but she's going to have to
suck it up and get used to her. I'm all for strong female characters but Kate is just downright obnoxious these days. It doesn't look good on her.
Lulu needs to be stopped. She had so much potential back when she was first SORASed and now she's just painful to watch. Carly should have let her have it at the hospital when she started her 'Johnny didn't do it' campaign. I hope Maxie and Spinelli steamroll her. I have to say I've been enjoying the show a lot lately. The only scenes I FFW through are the Kate/Sonny ones. I can't wait to watch Carly tear Sonny a new one for protecting Kate instead of Michael today. (It's about damn time someone brought that up!) |

I am really becoming a fan of the show again.
I love that Carly has finally let Sonny understand he is to blame for what happened to Michael. Forget the fact he pushed Kate out of the way, Sonny should have NEVER allowed himself to be a father. Not an adoptive father to Michael or biological father to anyone else. He is a walking billboard for the reasons not to be a parent. He is mentally unstable, power hungry, and he is a mobster! This is a man who is a target everyday, but yet it always seems to be other people who get hurt. Sonny knows this and yet he will never give up his lifestyle because it is the only power he knows and really cares about. That being said, I am so happy Carly is realizing that SHE is the main person to blame. She schlepped those kids, Michael especially on the wild ride that is operated by her w-hormones. As long as Sonny and her were together she rationalized that he would be able to keep them safe. The minute they were no longer doing the nasty then he was unsafe. She is a brutal mother and should not get off easy on this one. I hope it just stops her from having more kids and more relationships, because we know her and Jax are doomed. She needs to be a good mom to Morgan and do whatever she can for Michael. I know this is going to make me a huge hypocrite, but I don't care. I love Jason. I love everything about him. I want hi to raise his child and everyone else's child because I think he is that damn good. Now, I am talking mainly in a cloud of lust, but basically the man sacrifices everything in his life for the other people around him. QUIT your job, live off your money and be a dad. Take in all the kids of these horrible parents and just be a dad. I will even grant him being married to blah Elizabitch if he is happy. Get a big house with a big yard. Fill it with pets and have fun. I am all for Max and the cougar having some lovin'. I want Spinelli and Maxi to be together. I want his Zen and her nastiness to even each other out. I want LuLu to fall down a well and her admirers can follow her. Tracey and Luke need to have earth shattering sex, face the fact they belong together, run the Haunted Star, and live their crazy life. I want Alice to fall in love with someone and just have a whacked out family. Is it bad that I want Robin to die? Not from AIDS because I just won't go there, but perhaps she can get in one of the many car crashes and die. Perhaps after giving birth and then let Patrick and that gorgeous female doctor get together. Or let Jason raise the baby. Nicolas needs to choose to go into the light and live a fairy tale with dead Emily. And we know who should raise his son, Jason! As for everyone else, I don't care.

SargeantShizzler wrote: It's funny how this storyline is making people feel differently. I personally loved the way Kate was acting. Yes, Sonny is a mobster, yes it's partially his fault that Michael got shot, but he is still going thru exactly what Carly & Jason are going thru. While everyone is busy blaming him for everything, even if they're right, Kate chose to stand up for the man she loves. I was kinda glad she had the backbone. And her telling off Lulu was GOLD! I think I will love her forever just for that. It was actually Carly annoying me on Friday. "Oh, Sonny is soo selfish, Sonny only does what Sonny wants..." Hello pot, meet kettle. At least she admitted that she's partly to blame for wanting Sonny to adopt Michael in the first place. |

I am loving Diane and Max together! They are so cute together. Also, the interplay with Jerry and Alexis is just fun! On a totally different note, I hope
Lulu ends up with NO ONE! Her character is so full of herself. She needs to be brought down NOW!
