I really have not cared one way or another about Bethenny until now--I LOVE HER! She was cracking me up left and right. Same with Ramona, at the dinner party, but in a different way. I was laughing WITH Bethenny (at the Countess demanding to be referred to as Mrs. Whatever; at Alex and Simon's house and party; at Ramona's behaviour) but I was laughing AT Ramona (her dancing and her ditching the girls + Simon party to go out clubbing). I loved it. I'm going to watch it again. :lol

Alex really does seem nice when she listens to Bethenny whine. I never, EVER thought I'd feel anything remotely kind about Alex, but damned if I wasn't liking her by the end of the show. I did like when she explained her house to Bethenny saying it's a 3 year project and B stating 'yeah, you should really get started'. Cracked me the hell up.

First of all, these women have serious money. With the other cast it was so mixed and you were sure they were just a couple screw ups away from being outside the damn gate. I love Jill to the extreme. She can be obnoxious, but she is just such a fun person. You know she is the type to take care of all her friends and always try and set you up on dates and mend anything broken in your life. She has shortcomings and she knows it, but she is fabulous. And I adore her husband. Bobby is my new crush!!! He is just the BEST! Ramona is certifiable. I do not hate her, but I think she needs some help. She is too convinced she is hot and hse really is not. Her danicng is so spazzy, but I will not mock because when I dance I just snap my fingers and occasionally bend my knees. Nothing else! Her daughter is sweet, but will soon become bitchy! Luann is delicious. She is so damn taken with being a countess that she just cannot stop herself from being snotty. She is pretty, has a sexy deep voice, and seems fun. I think her son might have some issues with trusting women when he gets older, but other than that I cannot bad-mouth the Countess! Bethany is hysterical. I just love the way she insults people and yet they never seem mad at her for doing it. She is just so nonchalant when she takes a at jab at someone. I hope her and Jason work out, but not thinking they will. I read he was fired from his job because he particpated in the show and it was deemd inappropriate. That is too bad, becasue he never seemed to do anything wrong. And then there is Alex and Simon. I will preface my comments on them by saying I have an aunt and uncle that are very much like them and they are my favorite people in the world. Yes, even more than my own mom and dad. My uncle is sort of the male version of Auntie Mame with his zest for life and flamboyance. My aunt is intelligent and cultured and sweet. They are two people so madly love with eachother that you can sense the pain they feel when they are apart from one another. They have 1 child and he has had a great childhood and is a happy and wonderful young man. People in our family and within our friends have always snickered and whispered about my uncles "masculinity" and my aunts "neediness", but the truth is they are not co-dependent of one another just happy to be together. Now to Simon and Alex. They are pretentious and at times with Alex especially you may question the validity of her attitude, but they seem to be loving parents that only want the best for their children. Granted it is their interpertation of what is the best, but still they want their children to experience the world. Yes, their house is a mess, but so what. And he is a bit of a puff, but he loves her and she obviously loves him. Alex seems like she is good hearted and cares about her friends. And they are far classier than me, because if Ramona had treated me the way she did them then she would have been wearing the food Bethany made. So, long live Alex and Simon!

You have a good husband, a good family life yet you don't see anything wrong with completely fucking that all up? There you have it. Proof she's on the wrong coast. Anyone still not convinced just has to take one look at her bad facelift (or whatever she had done so now she always has a surprised look on her face) and you can easily see she's a Whori in training. Now all she needs is to 'boob it up' and get those things pumped up to the size of her head like the OC witches.

LOL. and those were some ugly legs on that woman. poor Bethany, getting cornered by the skank. I was pretty surprised at Ramona hanging with her single friends like she was too that one time (when we had that big ass discussion) - and then going to that party for the single men. shades of Quinn all over again. her husband is a doll and a good dad. she needs to practice a little Dr. Laura on him and stay home more. another thing that bugged me, Avery is home alone when Ramona comes breezing in, dashing to change and then off again, leaving Avery totally alone again. where's the dad? the maid? some adult? sure she's 12, but she seems awful lonely to me. (lucky her, I guess LOL)

I had forgotten about it until you said something. I don't doubt Alex and Simon's desire to obtain the best for their children, but I doubt their motivation. It seems to me like they want their children to have the best so that they can reap the rewards down the road. It's all about them.

I like that she just speaks her mind, but is also a trainwreck hersrlf always breaking down in front of Alex. I kind of like how she has made personal connections wtih every woman in that group. Ramona was batshit, but she was entertaining. The dinner party would have been boring if she hadn't confronted Alex and Simon. LuAnn needs to shove it. But, I still like her despite neglecting her son who just wanted to hang out with his mom.

It's much better. What really makes it great is that not one woman in the cast is a dud. You might like some and hate others, but you have to admit there's no one who you can really point to and say that she has no personality and is dragging the whole show down. Plus all of them are pretty unique. It's not like the OC where they can make cast changes by swapping one bleach blond with bowling ball tits and a leathery hide for another and it doesn't even affect the show. If the cast was different for season two (and PLEASE let there be a season two!), it would fuck up the whole dynamic.

Heck, my parents bought their house in 1971 for a pittance to the $300K it's worth now -- THEY're probably worth 1/2million & my dad has never made more that $40,000/year in his life. Looking like you have millions & acting like you have millions & actually having millions are 3 different things. Sadly (IMO), Ramona probably does have some money to speak of. But she'd have a blast with the trannys down on South Street, let me tell ya!!

Notice how they allegedly spent $10k on met tickets, thousands on a dress, etc. for one night. Yet, they send the kid to public school - after Jill got him accepted to a fancy private one? Where are their priorities? Not to mention all the lead paint and scum in their dump of a house. They also don't seem to spend much time with their kids. They both work full time and then she bragged that they "only" go out 2 nights a week without them. Oh please, where are they allegedly going? I don't see them getting invited to high society events and charity functions, other than the events they went to for the show - where they totally didn't fit in and seemed way out of place. And there is no way they are "worth millions." That is hilarious. He's a hotel manager and she works as a merchandiser for VS beauty. They walked into the opera and didn't know anyone. They certainly didn't seem to fit in at all. Also, the people at their kid's birthday party looked like the only ladders they're climbing are the ones they work on.
