I'm not sure that's right. I would read this:

as saying the transcribers are transcribing interviews on the show (pre-race, confessionals, etc), not casting interviews. Casting interviews would be starting way too late if they do begin on April 7 for an April/May race.

The transcribing is going to take longer than the actual filming, so the loggers and transcribers' end date of May 30 doesn't mean that's when the race ends.

My guess would be a race beginning soon after this job begins. If the loggers show up on April 7, the contestants are probably showing up at the start city around that date as well with a start a few days later.

You are right about "casting interviews"--that was peach speak for the immediate pre-race interviews with the cast and the filming of the racer head turns .

And Phil's in town (spotted at AI last night) so we are know we are getting closer! I think a start day sooner rather than later may be very likely.



Apprentice Talker, no one has said anything about filming in June. And CBS clearly hasn't decided when the show will air--or at least that we know.
