I have the first season sitting on my computer. I guess I have to get busy watching it so I can start watching Season 2 next week.
The show looks amazing though. And I love Jeremy Northam. |

I just saw the premiere episode for season 2 on Showtime on Demand, and one thing that stuck out in my mind:
JRM is a HORRIBLE , AWFUL actor with fucking freaky eyes. Natalie Dormer constantly pouting her lips as well as constantly raising her left eyebrow is seriously annoying. She looks as if she always has to pee. Peter O'Toole looks half dead. Henry Cavill is still hot. Jeremey Notham is good. Maria Doyle Kennedy saves that entire series... she's amazing. The costumes look uncomfortable. The dialogue is funny which helps the episode go by quickly and doesn't make you want to fall asleep. More raunchy sex scenes are will happen this season so that's a plus. Overall, the episode is just okay, in my opinion, but I am quite tired of JRM community playhouse acting skills so I don't know how long I can watch this show. |

I had a completely different experience.
I love JRM. Peter O'Toole was a hoot as the Pope. The set design and cinematography was stunning. I love Jeremy Northam. Good start IMO. |

Well, I enjoyed tonites epi. Is Henry Cavill the on King Henry made an earl or whatever that married his sister? HE IS FINE! I think JRM's is a good
actor myself. The boiling was disturbing.. If I were the guy, I'd have taken the money and sold out Mr Berlin/Bylyne however you spell it.

God, I love this show! The entire cast is great but the actress who plays Queen Catherine is incredible! Has she been in anything else?

I completely agree. I would have ratted him out too. It's Boleyn, by the way. Maria Doyle Kennedy plays Catherine of Aragon. IMDB says she was in The Commitments (that 1991 classic) and a bunch of other movies and TV movies I've never heard of, except for Queer As Folk but I'm guessing it's the UK version. I'd bet all her credits are from the UK. |

I really love this show. I know you can argue the validity of accuracy, but it is just bodice ripping good. I think all the actors do a fine job in their roles
and crazy eyes or not, I adore JRM. He is so vulnerable and amazing. I think the chemistry between Henry and Anne is palpable and I love when they are
onscreen. I love Queen Catherine. She is played so regally and somewhat martyr like by Maria Doyle Kennedy. I have ON DEMAND and I was so excited to find that
episode 12 (the second of the season) was already available ON DEMAND. Just in case anyone wants to check it out.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers is not a horrible actor you dirty blasphemer. His eyes are sexy, not freaky. You just cant handle the intensity.
Henry Cavil is aight. Guys like him are a dime a dozen. Im really excited to check out the little Seymour bitch. Im over Dormer already. |
