Alicia S. lost her shot, I bet -- too bad as she would've been perfect for that role. Sarah Chalke was terrific though. To those new to the series, you ought to hit Netflix/Blockbuster and rent a couple discs from prior seasons. I did a quick read over of an episode guide and the eps that popped out to me were Slutty Pumpkin and The Pineapple Incident from season one, and the immortal Slap Bet from season two -- easily this show's greatest ep.

Another way they could play it would be to have Sarah recognize the Yellow Umbrella as her friend's umbrella, and then introduce Ted and the mother. The show will end with "And, kids, THAT'S how I met your mother. Through her old friend Dr. Whateverthehellhernamewas." Although I would be perfectly happy having Sarah Chalke as the mother, as long as it's only on TV. See, we were meant together and she will be mine. [Mike Meyers]Oh, yes, she will be mine.[/MM]

It was the episode that went something to the effect of this: Barney tries to get Ted to hit on women by using his job, being an architect. Robin thinks this is laughable, and she and Lilly go to hang out while Ted goes out with Barney. They end up going to (in no particular order) a study session or party (can't remember which one) with Marshall and his law school buds, a club, and then they end up in some girl's apartment, where they find out that Barney was pretending to be Ted and was tied to the bed or something like that. The chick was in the shower, so Barney left his "break up note" and they got out of there. Something like that. Pretty sure it was in season 2.

If the recraps out there are correct, this was the kick boxer chick. I saw a reference to Barney-as-Ted not being able to remember her name, thus "Dear Resident." You all so TOTALLY need to listen the audio clip as soon as you can. I'm laughing harder about it than the ep tonight itself. Anyhow, I just moved that disc to the top of my Netflix queue. It should be here Wednesday. I'll report back as to the positivie ID of the chick, but I bet it's her. Again: I love this show. :: Going to beddy-bye with the sweet strains of Ted Mosby is a Jerk lulling me to sleep ::
