That's so awesome! I agree VR. My favorites never made it past #3 on this show, so I don't expect much but it's great to see him doing so well.

David is annoying and that song choice was cheesy, but I gotta give the boy some props for being creative and able to sing very well. I hope he takes it all.
But I wonder what sort of rock career he could ever have if he won. Not much rock cred there. |

Not creative, but smart and well executed.

I actually dont like him at all, but the MJ performance was fucking brilliant, unbelievable good.
LOL @ anyone who says that wasnt creative, you gotta be kidding me!! I actually cant even believe he came up with the whole thing by himself and it would be hard to convince me otherwise. Anyone with a slight clue about music has to love that... |

He's the only one with any stage presence besides Brooke.

Apparently Blake posted at p.edo Rickey's to defend against the uprising of the Archutards over something he said in an interview and mentioned this:
I know this won't silence the uproar over the absolute horror of covers of covers of covers on a show that famously features covers of covers but hopefully Doxology will finally STFU. |

I loved his cover of Billie Jean last night. He keeps changing it up each week, which definitely makes it more interesting for me as a viewer. He's much
better than Chris Daughtry too. I never liked Chris and his overabundance of melisma and zero charisma.

My favorites never wins this shitfest either but I've got my fingers crossed that David can be the one to finally break through.
The only theme I can see giving he real trouble as we head into April/May is tthe songs of Andrew Lloyd Weber but hopefully the "Jesus Christ Superstar" songbook will be open and he doesn't have to pick something from "Phantom of the Opera" or some other drek show. |

Maybe a rocked-out version of "And I am Telling You"? ;)

That was good - much better than the original imo.

Cook's version of "Billie Jean" -- arguably the best performance by any performer in any season. Of course, that assumes you like his style.

You know what though... the judges are fuckin' misinformed idiots. I bet not one of them knew that it was a cover of a cover, even after Seacrest announced
it as such. Either that or the "Most original, bold, brave, etc. etc." contestant ever compliments are a calculated trap.
