Just based on editing, if a fan is going to win, the editors are really giving us the shaft because we've got the excellent gameplay and story going on with the FAVES and it just seems like the Fans are just standing around watching and waiting. They're like little confused sheep waiting out in the pasture for their shepard to inevitably come and lead them to their slaugher house

But not Jason or Erik. They both have been fairly negative and shown to be so naive and outplayed. I'm waiting to see Alexis emerge as a player in this
game.

I'm waiting to see Alexis emerge as a player in this game. ::flashbacks of Amanda during China:: "OMG HER STORY IS COMING!!! IT'S COMING!! SHE'S THERE!! IT'S MERGE TIME HER STORY IS COMING!" Yea, her story did come about how she completely FUMBLED and lost it entirely at the end. Even Danni's had a better edit then this girl (Alexis). We knew about Danni and her alliance with Bobby Jon and Brandon, she had the Blake boot episode, and she had her intertwined story with Gary after the switch. Point to a winner we've had that didn't have at least some semblance of a story pre-merge? |

Pre-merge, all winners have had an alliance mentioned on the show (not just on insider clips), and so far, the editors have ommitted all of that from
Alexis' storyline.

I'm inclined to believe that we have been shown the winning alliance and it's Cerie, Amanda and Parvati. In total agreement about the fans chance. I
can buy into Alexis being the last fan standing, but not much else.
AND reminds me too much of Amber's massive edit shift from "non-entity" to "gun moll"has me ROTFLOL this morning! |

Point to a winner we've had that didn't have at least some semblance of a story pre-merge?not to mention, I would LOVE to believe that the editors would think to themselves for a FAN to win over a FAVE, let's show the audience that this fan is kicking it. I mean really if a fan were to win over a favorite - you got a HUGE storyline potential to show a fan coming in and really pushing forward Alexis's first episode statement that they got the experience but WE know them and they don't know us (paraphrasing) Grant it, the switch only just started but last episode pretty much showed how the favorites are boinking the fans - not great stuff if the fans are to show the favorites you didn't put your money where your mouth was. |

Agree Trixie. If a fan was going to win I would think they would be editing them as the ultimate fan who really knows how to play the game. The only fan with
that type of edit so far is Tracy. So unless she has some miracle and finds a new alliance, I don't think a fan will be the winner.

It could be a journey arc, still, though, right? The fan starts out enthusiastic but clueless, helpless, can't start a fire, can't build a shelter,
etc. They learn through bad strategy, bad votes, startling twists, micronesion grandfathers, Probst tribal council comments, and campfire wisdom from the
oldtimers, until at last they are ready to take their place besides the favorites at the final tribal council.

the problem is mb does not know how to edit women winners an looks like we will have a all chick f5, i think a non fav will win this season, the way the favs
are edited, but who knows. male winners are more fun seasons story wise.
