Well, I like Hernandez, but that's absolutely the LAST time I ever pick up a phone for American Idol. I call utter bullshit on Danny's boot, just as I
did on Elliott's boot and Clay's loss. You'd think I'd learn not to waste my precious time pressing redial.
When Hernandez gets the boot, I'll turn it off for this season. Danny was the best thing they had going this year, in terms of entertainment. Plus the kid could actually sing. |

Poor Danny and Asia'H. They deserved to stay while Chikezie and Kristy deserved the boot - I hope to god they are the first two out of the finals and
don't make the tour. But the biggest and nicest surprise for me was David H staying. I was so pleasantly shocked.

Well, it doesn't really matter anyway. David A is going to win and Carly will most likely be the one to lose to him.
This has got to be the most predictable season from any show ever. I'll miss Danny. Chikezie's only there to fill a fucking quota. |

He didn't tap into the vulnerability the way Sanjaya did. He didn't show off his voice and never let people see what made him tick. He seemed to want to be a parody, which is too bad, because I think if he had just let people hear his voice on a good song, he would have made it through. I hate that Kristy made it through but she was better than Asia'h last week and this week. Asia'h chose a stupid, stupid song and she paid the price.

Among Joanne, Alex, Asia'h, and Syesha, I'm not sure Syesha is the one I would have figured for the Top 12. I'd have preferred Alexandrea. Or even
Joanne...but one bad song choice and that's it. We barely knew her.

Syesha got a lot of airtime before the semifinals. I knew they liked her (fawning over that awful Tobacco Road was another sign). But her getting the pimp spot
this early suggests they know she's on borrowed time, unless she gets Asia'h's votes.

Sigh. Well, it's possible this boot is legitimate, but it smells weird. Here are reasons Danny might have gotten voted out:
1. The tweenies all moved to Archeluta 2. Chickeze's fanbase was motivated by fear. 3. America is more homophobic than I realized. Here are reasons Danny might have been removed by the producers: 1. The producers wanted a black guy in the top 12. 2. They really do break out into hives when guys swish. 3. Danny's got more video we don't know about. 4. They really really really really really want to avoid having an eccentric, popular contestant overshadow the Chosen Ones, like Sanjaya did last year. No point in voting. They do what they want to do. It's just like professional wrestling. I'm still kind of pissed. |

People who love Danny obviously enjoyed the performance, but did the casual voter? I think something like the Jailhouse Rock performance would have gotten him into the top twelve. The same with Asia'h, she gave a safe, useless performance. So did a lot of the other girls, but they either had strong pre-existing fanbases, a history of good performances, or in Kristy's case, tapped into the country market. |

So, to sum it up, booted are Kady and Asi'a, and Luke and Danny. Most disappointed with Danny leaving. I hope Archuleta doesn't win this. I'm
