Besides that it was great. 2. Carly 3. Ramiele 4. Syesha 5. Alaina 6. Kristy - Boring/forgettable. She better come out guns blazing with a country song next week if she wants to make top 12. 7. Alex - I know shes pretty popular on here, but like Asia'h, some of her notes were just really bad. 8. Kady - I like her and she has a personality but...not good. 9. Amanda - She comes off as a really sweet/nice person, but Idol just isn't the place for her. I could see Kady winning before Amanda to be honest. 10. Asia'h - Wow. This was the only performance all night where I was actually in shock at how bad some of the notes were. She really sucked and should have known she couldn't pull off that song. Brain - Kady/Alexandrea Heart - Asia'h and Kristy? I really like her. Great song choice for her. Great beginning, but not as strong on the chorus, because her voice is not meaty enough at the bottom of her range. But really it was so fun. Carly - 7.5 - (Heart - Crazy on You) - No kidding, Randy, she was definitely sharp at parts. Her voice is a little thinner than I like, all through her range actually. Performance was just OK. Not great. She yells real clearly. Her version suffers in comparison to the original. Ramiele - 7.0 - ( Thelma Houston - Don't Leave me This way ) - Nice buildup... beginning well... but on the big part of the song, it's only good, not great. Face it, most people don't realize it, but singing female Disco Diva is HARD. It's been done better many times. gap Kristy Lee Cook - 6.5 - (You're No Good) - Started weak, and I thought it would totally suck, but it wasn't bad at all. Nice Countryish version of this song. I kept expecting it to get worse, and it was actually enjoyable. Alaina - 6.5 - (ONJ - Hopelessly devoted to you) - Sliding the low notes off key, trailing off... tiny bit flat, then sharp on the big notes. Slow song, should've been in her wheelhouse. The "food" bit was offputting. Were they trying to make her into the "ditz"? Do the producers hate her? C'mon... unfair. Would've Syesha - 6 - ( Me and Mr(s) Jones) - Competent version of this song. Bit breathy and a bit boring. She's really hot. Beautiful body. Amanda - 5.5 - (Kansas - Wayward Son) - Ack... I really really like this nurse. Very cool person. Intelligent, thoughtful, wonderful person in real life. Great when she's growling/screaming... but the soft parts were terrible. But she was entertaining. I agree the song was very contrived. I agree that bluesy is better than that power rock was. Kady - 4.5 - ( Heart - Magic Man) - I'm bummed. I think she's got the best voice in the bunch and she's not going to make the final 12. She is doing that "Xtina thing" with her voice and transitioning the the MIDDLE of the damn verse... she has no pop musical sense whatsoever. Weird choice. Poor choice for her voice. There are SO MANY SONGS she could sing well, why the hell does she chose a song where the range of the verses bridges right through the break in her voice between breathy and belt. Trying to sing like Xtina was dead on. WHY?? I could hear the opera in her voice every time she sings. Then she frowns while she listens to criticism. Does she have any idea how she's coming off? Can she last another week based on pure hotness? I dunno. I think she's GONE. Asia'h - 4.5 - (Celine Dion version - All by myself) - Weird phrasing and enunciation... and mouth shapes... so weak compared to previous versions done on the show. Simon was dead on about this. That finishing note (that came out one piece at a time...) was pitiful. Just pitiful. Alexandrea - 4 - (whatever this POS is called) - worst song of the evening by far ... possibly the worst outfit in the history of American Idol. Boring. Excruciating. Simon's right: the whole thing felt all over the place. Like she was singing one song... then stop... start singing a different song in a different key... then another song... The sooner this performance is forgotten, the better. Heart - Kady & Carly... er... wait, they sang Heart... Alexandrea - I feel bad because she's meant to be cannon fodder and has a long fight ahead of her. 6. Alaina - Best of the generic blonde types. 7. Amanda - Merely for the beginning...shame the rest of it sucked. 8. Kristy Lee - Generic blonde does mediocrity. 9.
