Probst has repeatedly said that Africa was one of his least favorite locations. He said it was miserable for the production and for the Survivors. I
don't care how entertaining the cast might be, people kind of shut down in that type of environment. India may sound very contrived, but then again we
said the same thing about China, and it turned out well... even though it was set on a man-made lake and the tribal campsites contained props like stairs,
archways, and stones. It was contrived, but the cast (one of the best ever) made it work.
I see India, Madagascar, and New Zealand as very possible locations. I'm still hoping for a North American season, though. Native American culture is one
of the most distinct tribal cultures in the world. I don't see why Survivor couldn't utilize it (not to mention rough American wilderness) to their
advantage.
