I didn't watch the show aside from an occasional episode, but apparently the problem is that even though the show was getting respectable numbers in terms of total viewers, the 18-49 demo ratings had dropped off significantly from last season. Also, rumor has it that James Woods was being a gigantic pain in the ass behind the scenes, and that he wasn't really interested in continuing to do the show.
