Great great love for these guys so far! Their show is like Spinal Tap meets Seinfeld, Down Under. And their humor is soooo dry, yet absurd. Plus they have this refreshing innocence about them. All of which seems very Kiwi to me.
New Zealand Rocks!  (now if only I had HBO  --watched the pilot and videos online)

Glasses guy (Jemaine) is the Jack Black to the KG, the Abbott to the Costello, The Moe. He's a take charge kind of guy, so I could see how you would be attracted to him.
The other (Bret) is like a puppy. Cute and cuddly. YAY I finally got their names straight! |

This stuff is comedy gold, but a little dry for most people's taste, I'm afraid. I had first seen these guys on an HBO standup special about 3 years ago--it was hilarious, and they've gotten even better. Bret is such a little shit, and Jermaine is such a lovable dork. The "rap" when they were getting mugged was priceless. (I do have to use closed captioning, though, because I can't understand the damn Kiwis, either!)

The first episode I didn't really get, but I watched another one last night (I think it was the third one - Brett abandoned Jermaine during a mugging) and it was really funny. I love their little music bits.

This kind of reminds me of Extras but not quite as funny - at least not yet. I did like the bit with the tape being in the band and them evaluating who is better the tape or Bret.
