The terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 may be still so shocking to the American psyche that we may never get used to some of its searing images of planes crashing into buildings, or people falling from them.

Therefore, a new reality show that involves people twisting their bodies to make it through the opening in walls coming their way may not have a premiere date in the best taste.

Fox's adaptation of an international hit, "Hole in the Wall" premieres Sept. 11, the network announced Thursday.

Nobody's suggesting that anybody is conciously tying a "Wipeout" like action reality show with one of the nation's most tragic days.

But bodies flying through space with walls coming at them on the seventh anniversary of Sept. 11 may not add to its hype as "one of the trickiest, fastest, funniest and wettest shows on the planet."

Brooke Burns and Mark Thompson will host.

And if it helps, "The Moment of Truth," which was to have had its season premiere that day, with its own set of associations, will not be held for midseason.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure how many times I'll want to watch a whole hour of people trying to fit through goofy shapes in a styrofoam wall.
