Out of these, American Idol/Friends (Friends after 9/11) are the only ones
that defeated Survivor in the key demographic, 18-49 year olds. Special airings of The Office at 8:30 probably would've done the same but I don't think
there have been any since The Office became wildly popular. Ugly Betty probably did better for the start of its first season before quickly losing viewers.

That night, Zap2it.com says that Survivor was THIRD in viewers behind CSI (season premiere) and Grey's Anatomy. So I think that's pretty good.

It may be 15 on the top 20 chart, but there are a lot of time slots every week, so 15th isn't so bad, at least not deserving of a cancellation!
